John Lynam, a diplomat from Ireland, has lived and worked in China for more than ten years. Currently serving as an Education Counsellor at the Irish Embassy in China, he is a fan of Chinese culture. He has known his Chinese wife who also works at the embassy (as a translator) for a long time. Before marriage, the two had been very good working partners. They have experienced together the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, and many times of the head of state visits. They gradually fell in love with each other, established a family and raised a son and a daughter. Now they live happily in Beijing.
