Yang Yanyan, First-Level Supervisor of Police Technology in the Eighth Squadron, Seventh Detachment, Cyber Security Corps, Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau (Recommended by the Municipal Political and Legal Affairs Committee)

Yang Yanyan, born in June 1986, is of Han Nationality and holds a doctoral degree. She is a member of the Communist Party of China and currently serves as a first-level supervisor of Police Technology in the Eighth Squadron of the Seventh Detachment, Cyber Security Corps of Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau. As a PhD in Artificial Intelligence (AI), she has participated in investigation and detection of numerous major criminal cases. Through her research and development of 12 advanced detecting tools and platforms, she has achieved several groundbreaking milestones in the field of network security. She led the investigation and detection of the first case involving the violation of citizens’ personal information in Beijing, establishing an original detection method that has since become the benchmark and standard for similar cases and is widely applied today. In recognition of her expertise, Yang has been awarded the first prize once and the second prize twice in the Network Technique Competition of the National Public Security System. Demonstrating exceptional dedication, she utilized her commuting time for intensive study, becoming the first female expert in AI within Beijing’s public security system. And she also has detected the first “real-time face-changing fraud case” in Beijing. Beyond her professional duties, she actively engages in public welfare initiatives, delivering lectures and participating in exchanges at the National Radio and Television Administration, various colleges and universities, and theme forums to promote AI risk and prevention strategies. For her outstanding contributions, she has been honored with titles such as Outstanding Female Police in National Public Security Organs, Beijing Role Model for Teens, and Beijing Labor Medal.
