Luo Jinkai, Head of the Nursing Department of Beijing Friendship Hospital, Capital Medical University (Recommended by the Beijing Municipal Health Commission)

Luo Jinkai, born in October 1981, is a member of the Manchu Nationality and holds a master’s degree. She is a member of the Communist Party of China and a member of the Party Committee of Beijing Friendship Hospital, Capital Medical University, where she is assistant to the dean and head of the Nursing Department. With 20 years of dedicated nursing experience, Luo has made significant contributions to healthcare, particularly in underserved regions. She has visited Tibetan areas seven times, playing a pivotal role in both the establishment and development of a Tertiary Public Hospital for the People’s Hospital of Lhasa. Additionally, she created training programs for intensive care units and specialized nursing for maternal care, contributing to health and nursing talent revitalization as part of poverty alleviation efforts. Luo has led the teams in Gannan and Ningxia in China as well as in Africa, providing management, technical support and free clinical treatment that have benefited more than 800,000 people. She also has worked to improve access to health and medical resources for ordinary citizens. In addition to her clinical work, Luo established the brand of “Beijing Nursing Culture Week,” and established 29 training bases at international, national and municipal levels, cultivating more than 2,000 professional nurses. In addition, she also set up 20 nursing outpatient clinics and innovative studios, and participated in major emergency response services such as the Beijing Olympics and efforts against Ebola. Her contributions have been recognized with numerous honors, including being named as an Advanced Individual in Fighting against COVID-19 and receiving the Medal of March 8th Red-Banner Pacesetters of Beijing.
