Li Qiuxue is Chairperson and Design Director of the Beijing Chaoyang District Qingnian Huimeng Art Service Center. From the delicate craft of children’s apparel design to the broader narrative of urban renewal, she has applied cross-disciplinary insight to advance child-friendly development. She is deeply committed to improving small-scale community spaces, having developed more than 1,000 spatial renovation plans and overseen the implementation of over 500 renewal projects in aging residential communities. These efforts have significantly enhanced the sense of fulfillment, happiness, and well-being among women and children. She has also created flagship initiatives, including the “Dream-Nurturing Spaces” program, pioneering an innovative model that integrates space, activities, and services. Through this approach, she weaves playfulness and safety into the urban fabric, creating vibrant environments where children can grow and thrive. At the 2025 China Child-Friendly Action Symposium, she shared her practical methodology, offering a replicable “Beijing model” for advancing child-friendly cities nationwide.
Li has further integrated diverse resources to build a comprehensive system for empowering children. She has organized more than 300 public welfare activities for women and children, reaching over ten thousand participants. In collaboration with local partners, she has spearheaded the development of signature programs such as the Children’s Light Festival and the Eco-Friendly Kidswear Show, creatively combining aesthetic education programs with environmental awareness. She also regularly organizes safety education programs and art-based learning initiatives, providing families in the community with high-quality platforms for engagement, companionship, and development, and supporting children’s growth with professionalism and dedication.
