Founded in 2001, the Beijing Medical Women's Association (BMWA) is a leading organization for women professionals in the capital’s healthcare sector. Remaining true to its founding mission, the Association has united and guided female medical workers across Beijing, encouraging them to remain rooted on the front lines of healthcare and deeply engaged in their specialized fields. Its members have made active contributions in clinical treatment, public health, health education, public welfare services, and academic exchange.

BMWA has established 12 specialized branches covering disciplines such as internal medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, and others. While continuously enhancing their professional expertise, members have actively devoted themselves to public welfare initiatives. Over the past three years, the Association has organized nearly 100 free clinics and health education activities, reaching as distant as Xizang, Ningxia, and Xinjiang, as well as Beijing’s suburban districts, communities, universities, and enterprises, benefiting tens of thousands of people.

The 2nd UK-China Longevity Economy Forum, hosted by the UK Department for Business and Trade and co‑organized by the China Management Science Society Health Care Administration Committee, was successfully held, showcasing the professional excellence of Chinese women physicians on the international stage. Meanwhile, the Aerospace Difficult Case Discussion Forum, organized by the China Ultrasound Medicine Administration Committee, has become a nationally recognized online academic brand, attracting more than one million participants annually.

Guided by the mission of safeguarding public health, BMWA has devoted dedication, compassion, and expertise to advancing the health and well-being of women and children and promoting the high‑quality development of healthcare in the capital.
