Beijing Women's Federation

The 2024 Global Forum on Women in Sci-Tech Innovation, as a parallel event of the 2024 ZGC Forum, will open in Beijing on April 27. The following is the introduction of the forum’s guest speaker Tu Youyou.

Tu Youyou is a winner of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, and director of the Artemisinin Research Center at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. She has won awards including China’s Medal of the Republic, the UNESCO-Equatorial Guinea International Prize for Research in Life Sciences, the Lasker-DeBakey Clinical Medical Research Award, and China's State Preeminent Science and Technology Award.

During the forum, Tu will send a message to share with attendees about her dedicated love toward scientific research, and to express her expectation of young women science and technology workers for making greater contributions to sci-tech innovation.
