ACWF President Explains Congress Spirit to Women in Beijing
Shen Yueyue, vice-chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) and president of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), visited several villages, communities and companies in the Beijing districts of Tongzhou and Fengtai from November 20-21.
Shen called on officials of women's federations at all levels to unite and lead females from the general population to follow the Party's instructions and leadership.
To revitalize villages, Shen asked officials to offer more opportunities for grassroots women to learn skills so as to better fit in the eco-friendly development of the nation.
She also mentioned that efforts should be made to move forward family civilization construction by offering targeted and timely responses to families that needguidance.
Furthermore, she called for more women to join the volunteers' team, thus fulfilling their role in society.
When she visited a medicine company, Shen said, "Women's federations based on the business sector should try to solve the difficulties that employees encounter as quickly as possible so that they can be ready to better serve women."
Grassroots women said Shen explained the profound theories in a simple language, deepening their understanding of the congress spirit and inspiring them to make their contribution to the new era.
Three officials accompanied Shen on various trips including: Zhang Xiaolan, vice-president and member of the Secretariat of the ACWF; Jing Junhai, deputy secretary of Beijing municipal Party committee; and, Niu Youcheng, vice director and deputy Party secretary of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal People's Congress.
