Beijing Women's Federation Holds Symposium Honoring 60 Outstanding Females

Sixty winners of the March 8th Red-Banner Pacesetter Medals (recommended and voted by the public) gathered at a symposium launched by Beijing Women's Federation on March 21, sharing their work experiences and missions in the new era.
 
At the event, six representatives of these distinguished women delivered speeches on how to remain true to their original aspirations and keep their missions firmly in mind in order to make more progress in their careers.
 
Hao Chunli
 
With a consistent pursuit of protecting women's legitimate rights and interests, Hao Chunli, Director of Dongwei Legal Assistance Service and Research Center in Beijing, shared her experiences over the past 20 years as a lawyer.
 
She devotes herself to criminal defense, legal services and offering formal legal assistance to grassroots women and children.
 
Li Yang
 
Family moral education is important as it is the basis of moral education and also the premise of children's sound development.
 
Li Yang, an associate researcher at the China National Children's Center (CNCC), shared her opinions on family education and promoted the initiative of building beautiful families for social development.
 
Qu Bing
 
As a representative of new social strata members and private enterprises, Qu Bing, Vice President of 360 Group and President of Beijing Time Company, spoke of her 10 years experience in the Internet industry.
 
"Women have done a great deal for the development of the Internet, and surely the Internet will provide a wider space and more chances for women's development in the new era," Qu said.
 
Jing Tianshuang
 
Jing Tianshuang, a volunteer and advocator of China Marrow Donor Program (CMDP), delivered positive energy at the symposium.
 
As a head nurse at the ENT Department of the People's Hospital of Beijing Daxing District, Jing told a story about a female member of staff at the hospital, which symbolized love and life.
 
Li Yanqiu
 
In pursuit of developing children's quality education through publishing, Li Yanqiu, general manager of Beijing Shengtong Printing Company, shared her entrepreneurial journey at the symposium.
 
Lin Dan
 
As a female representative of promoting reading, Lin Dan, the founder of Yourbay Library, taught mothers how to lead their children in reading and carried out public reading projects for vulnerable groups.
 
After their speeches, Beijing Women's Federation President and Party Secretary Cai Shumin congratulated all medal winners on behalf of the federation.
"The experiences  of all representatives fully show Beijing women's success in remaining true to their original aspirations and keeping their missions firmly in mind," Cai said.
 
"The representatives should dedicate themselves to the great practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era on the basis of receiving the March 8th Red-Banner Medal. Other women should also follow suit and devote themselves to the country's development," she added.
 
The March 8th Red-Banner Pacesetter award is regarded as the highest honor for women. 10 percent of the Beijing's municipal-level award winners  were recommended and voted for by the public. Finally 60 outstanding women were granted the title through an online voting system and expert reviews.
