Beijing Women's Federation Hosts Seminar to Study 12th NWC Spirit

Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) held a special seminar in the country's capital from December 11-13, 2018 to convey and study the spirit of the recent 12th National Women's Congress (NWC) of China.

Some 90 people attended the event, including vice-presidents from 16 districts across the city; presidents from several villages and towns; and, teachers from Heilongjiang Women's Cadre School and Sichuan Provincial School of Women Cadres.

Organizers invited Wang Jihua, former professor of the Study on the Strategy of Education Culture Institute of Peking University, to explain the strategic deployment of the 12th NWC from the perspective of family culture construction.

Zhang Liming, former director of the Organization Department of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), gave an in-depth account of the new constitution of the ACWF by looking into its history and functions.

Professor Liu Zhifeng from the Party School of Beijing Municipal Committee of Communist Party of China (CPC) explained Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era from the perspective of its core meaning and fundamental strategy.

Towards the end of the event, Cao Ying, associate professor from the local Party School, provided women with a psychological adjustment class and helped them to relieve some of their pressures.

Furthermore, presidents from different districts shared their training experience of the past year and gave some suggestions for 2019.

According to organizer, Beijing Municipal School of Women Cadres will cooperate with grassroots women's federations and apply more creative methods to provide quality training courses for officials from federations at all levels in the future.
