The Beijing women "most beautiful" publicity team is officially established, and the first activity of its publicity campaign is held at the China National Film Museum.

 

To mark International Women's Day, which falls on March 8, the Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) held an event during which the Beijing women "most beautiful" publicity team was established and the first activity of its publicity campaign was held, on March 2 at the China National Film Museum.

 

The campaign intends to reveal the dedication of women from all walks of life in Beijing, and create a positive atmosphere for celebrating the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

 

Wu Haiying, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), Yan Ying, Vice-Chairperson of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Liu Yamei, Director of the Publicity Department of the ACWF, Gao Boyan, Chief Editor of the Women of China Magazine, and Zhang Yajun, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and President of the BWF, attended the event.

 

The activity consisted of three story-telling sections, themed Exploration, Dedication and Endeavour. Seven speakers shared their stories of promoting individual, family and national development.

The speakers included Jia Li, a Beijing Outstanding Worker who is working as an instructor at Xiangshan Park Management Office; Fang Qiuzi, National March 8th Red-banner Pace-setter as well as head of the Qiuzi Service brand at the Beijing-Shenyang Highway branch of Beijing Capital Highway Development Group Co, Ltd; and Chen Minrui, Beijing Municipal March 8th Red-banner medal winner who is working as lead dispatcher at Beijing Emergency Medical Center.

 

Others included Jin Jianmin, leader of the Wuhan-aiding team of Beijing Tongren Hospital, CMU, who is working as deputy director at the hospital's infectious department, and Jiang Jinyu, a Beijing Model Worker who is an instructor at the Winter Olympics Property Division of the Beijing Shougang Park Integrated Service Limited.

 

Jiang Yan, a Beijing Municipal March 8th Red-banner medal winner who is working as Party secretary and vice-president of the Beijing Kuangshi Technology Co., Ltd., and Shao Tianshuai, a Kunqu Opera actress who is a national first-class actor and Beijing Municipal March 8th Red-banner medal winner and whose family is one of the Beijing "most beautiful families," also shared their stories.

 

In their speeches, participants could hear stories of carrying on the "red gene", sticking to one's post, rescuing the injured, fighting on the front line of preventing the epidemic, serving the preparation of the Winter Olympics, promoting technological innovation, and inheriting traditional culture.

 

At the event, Zang Junying, an 80-year-old former women's federation worker, sent her blessings via video and wrote a poem to express her love for the Party.

 

Four guests invited by the Beijing Women's Federation share their stories of joining the Party and offer advice to young people at the event on March 2 at the China National Film Museum.

 

Meng Man, part-time Vice-President of the ACWF, a winner of Beijing Municipal March 8th Red-banner medal, and professor of Minzu University of China; Tao Yong, a doctor at the ophthalmology department of Beijing Chaoyang Hospital; and Sun Qixiang, a National March 8th Red-banner pacesetter and the former dean of the School of Economics of Peking University, attended the event.

 

The guests shared their stories of joining the Party and gave advice to young people, inspiring them to make more contributions in their own job roles.

 

At the end of the event, letters of appointment were issued to the members of the Beijing women "most beautiful" publicity team and the team's publicity campaign was launched.

About 100 people, including leaders of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of People's Government of Beijing Municipality, the China National Film Museum, the BWF, representatives of women's federations of different districts, and representatives of National March 8th Red-banner Pacesetters and Groups, participated in the event.

The Beijing women "most beautiful" publicity team are composed of national and Beijing March 8th Red-banner Pace-setters and Groups, women pacesetters for achievements, and representatives of the Beijing "most beautiful families".

 

Ahead of International Women's Day, through the sharing of stories about outstanding women, the publicity campaign was launched to promote patriotism, dedication and hard work, the power of self-respect, self-confidence, self-reliance and self-improvement, encouraging more women to learn from the model and contribute their strength to the high-quality development of the capital.

 

Considering the epidemic prevention and control situation, the team will launch a tour across the city, covering Beijing's government agencies, universities, communities, enterprises and institutions, in a combination of both online and offline activities.
