On December 16, the Splendid New Era: An Exhibition of Miniature Paintings by Chinese Female Artists” officially opened at the Art Museum of Yanjing Calligraphy and Painting Press in Beijing. The event was jointly organized by the Beijing Women’s Federation (BWF) and the Chinese Female Artists Association, with hosting support from Yanjing Calligraphy and Painting Press and academic guidance from the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA).

The opening ceremony was attended by Kong Zi, Chairperson of the Chinese Female Artists Association; Yang Hong, Secretary-General of the Association; Zhang Ling, Vice Chairman of the Association; Wang Xiaolin, Deputy Party Secretary of the CAFA; representatives from BWF departments; and several prominent female artists.

The exhibition showcased Chinese miniature paintings by female artists from the association, featuring themes such as figures, landscapes, flowers, and birds. These works reflect the artists’ unique perspectives and emotional depth, presenting China’s breathtaking landscapes while conveying the rich essence of traditional Chinese culture and aesthetics to the public through diverse artistic lenses.

The event also marked the founding of a recitation group under the Chinese Female Artists Association, dedicated to hosting recitation events centered on themes of love for the Party, the country, and the family. Aligning with the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress and the third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, as well as the directives of the 13th National Women’s Congress, the group seeks to share the stories of Chinese female artists, promote traditional Chinese culture, and celebrate the spirit of women in the new era through the art of poetry recitation.
