2024 Women’s Leadership Training Program Concludes Successfully
Date:2024-12-17 10:23:37 Views:From December 9 to 13, the Organization Department of the Beijing Municipal Committee, the Beijing Women’s Federation (BWF), and the Beijing Administration Institute jointly organized the 26th Women’s Leadership Training Program. The program aimed to enhance trainees’ political awareness and service capabilities, empowering them to make greater contributions to the city’s overall development.
The program was guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the guiding principles of the third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s directives on advancing initiatives related to women, children, and women’s federations.
A total of 53 outstanding female cadres participated in the training, including director-level cadres from all districts of Beijing, various municipal committees and bureaus, municipal-administered universities, and municipal-owned enterprises. The trainees also included representatives from “two types of enterprises and three new fields” (mixed-ownership enterprises and non-public enterprises, as well as new economic organizations, new social organizations, and new employment groups) and exemplary grassroots community cadres.

President Zhang Yajun delivered the program’s first lecture, presenting a report titled Implementing the Guiding Principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and Promoting High-Quality Development of Women’s Cause in Beijing in the New Era and New Journey.
In her lecture, she systematically elaborated on the Marxist perspective on women, the international women’s movement, and China’s national policies on gender equality. She also provided an in-depth overview of the progress made in women’s and children’s causes in Beijing and outlined the BWF’s initiatives for advancing reforms.

The training program also included field visits to the History Museum, LandSpace, and BAIC BluePark New Energy Technology Co. Ltd., all situated in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area. At the museum, trainees gained a deeper understanding of the district’s 30 years of progress and achievements. At LandSpace, they viewed the Zhuque-3 reusable rocket up close, experiencing the rapid momentum of China’s burgeoning space industry. At BAIC BluePark, trainees explored domestically developed electric vehicles, showcasing China’s innovative capabilities and the sector’s promising future. These immersive and interactive sessions provided trainees with a firsthand look at the accomplishments of Beijing’s International Center for Science & Technology Innovation, highlighting the power of high-tech development.

Throughout the program, trainees participated in two group discussions centered on the growth and development of female cadres. They shared their reflections and key takeaways from the lectures and field visits, incorporated insights from their professional experiences, and offered suggestions for further progress.

At the trainee forum, four representatives—Jiang Minmin, Vice President of the Credit Card Center at Huaxia Bank; Wang Yin, Party Secretary of the School of Marxism at North China University of Technology; Zuo Yafeng, Party Secretary of the Communist Youth League of China in Beijing’s Daxing District; and Wang Ye, Deputy Director of the Yanqing District Health Commission, Beijing—shared their perspectives, providing updates on the advancements in their respective organizations and fields, emphasizing initiatives aimed at deepening reforms. Drawing on group discussions and their professional expertise, they also offered recommendations for improving the selection and training of female cadres.

Attendees noted that the program enhanced their political awareness, broadened their perspectives, clarified their goals, and deepened their sense of responsibility and mission. They expressed a strong commitment to applying the insights gained to advance the implementation of the guiding principles of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the initiatives set forth during the fifth plenary session of the 13th Beijing Municipal Committee. The program also strengthened their resolve to turn the aspiration of “women are equals to men” into tangible actions, driving the capital’s high-quality development through women’s contributions.
