Beijing Women's Federation

On December 10, the Beijing Women’s Federation (BWF) hosted an event at the Beijing Science Center to present the inspiring stories of exemplary women, aiming to promote the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC while strengthening women’s commitment to the CPC.

The event was attended by representatives from the Publicity Department and Lecturer Group of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPC, the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, and Beijing Radio & Television Station.

Under the theme “Marching Forward with the Party on the New Journey, Celebrating Women’s Achievements in the New Era,” 17 exemplary women from various sectors—including culture and education, healthcare, legal affairs, rural revitalization, grassroots governance, and social development—shared their stories. Drawing from their professional and personal experiences, they brought their journeys to life through vivid storytelling, heartfelt emotions, and real-life examples. Their narratives reflected the spirit of the times, highlighting their dedication, perseverance, and pursuit of excellence in their roles while showcasing the achievements of women in the capital.

The powerful and heartfelt presentations received waves of applause from the audience. Many attendees expressed their admiration for the resilience, dedication, and strength of women actively contributing to the great endeavors of the new era. Inspired by these role models, they pledged to learn from their example, strive to follow in their footsteps, and help shape an even brighter future for women on this new journey in the new era.

In 2024, women’s federations across the city launched numerous initiatives to highlight exemplary women, fostering a new generation of outstanding storytellers. During the events, awards were presented to storytellers who earned first, second, and third prizes, as well as to outstanding organizations that played a key role in the success of these initiatives.

Looking ahead, the BWF will continue advancing storytelling initiatives to help the public better understand the CPC’s new principles, highlight female role models in the capital, and showcase achievements contributing to the cause of women and children in Beijing, uniting women in shaping the future of the new era.
