More than 60 representatives participated, including officials from the Beijing Municipal Political and Legal Affairs Commission, public security agencies, the procuratorate, courts, and judicial departments, as well as lawyers, experts, and scholars. The event featured a themed salon, a flower arranging session, and a photography activity, providing opportunities for both professional exchange and social interaction among female legal professionals.
Zhang Ningyu, Vice President of the BWF, extended her greetings to female legal professionals and commended their proactive efforts over the past year. She recognized their contributions in aligning with the capital’s priorities, leveraging their expertise, and advancing legal protections for women and children. She also shared three key expectations with the participants: First, building synergy through joint governance, further strengthening coordination mechanisms and continuously improving the legal protection network for women and children. Second, promoting legal awareness through empathy, making legal knowledge more accessible and relatable, empowering more women to understand, follow, and apply the law, thereby fostering a stronger legal culture. Third, fulfilling societal expectations through joint advancement, deepening discussions on key and complex legal issues, refining legal frameworks, optimizing judicial practices, and driving new progress in institutional development.
Female police officers, prosecutors, judges, and lawyers engaged in discussions on key topics, including the prevention and resolution of marital and family disputes and the protection of women’s and children’s rights. Drawing on their professional expertise and practical experience, they shared valuable insights that highlighted their legal acumen and dedication, underscoring the ongoing efforts to safeguard the rights of women and children in the capital. Through knowledge-sharing and collaboration, participants broadened their perspectives and built consensus, contributing to the collective strength of women in advancing the high-quality development of women’s and children’s affairs in Beijing.
