Women in Bloom, Celebrating Her Strength: 2025 Showcase Event of Outstanding Women in Beijing Municipal Agencies Successfully Held
Date:2025-4-14 14:41:11 Views:On April 11, the 2025 Showcase Event of Outstanding Women in Beijing Municipal Agencies Directly Under the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was successfully held at the Lucheng Town Comprehensive Cultural Center Theater. The event was hosted by the Work Committee for Agencies Directly Under the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and co-organized by Tingting FM of Beijing Radio & Television Station (BRTV) and the Lucheng Town People’s Government of Tongzhou District.
Attendees included Li Yanlai, Deputy Secretary in charge of daily operations at the Work Committee for Agencies Directly Under the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee; Zhang Yajun, Party Secretary and President of the Beijing Women’s Federation (BWF); He Qun, Deputy Party Secretary and Level I Bureau-Rank Official of the Work Committee; Zhao Hongwei, member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice President of the BWF; Li Xiaoming, Deputy Party Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Vice President of BRTV; and Wu Yaxi, Party Secretary of the CPC Lucheng Town Committee in Tongzhou District.
Approximately 460 award recipients, along with their supervisors and staff officers, attended the ceremony in person. Nearly 5,000 staff members from various municipal agencies joined the event via livestream.
2025 marks the final year of China’s 14th Five-Year Plan and a pivotal moment for Beijing as it deepens high-quality development and advances on its path toward modernization. Women working in Beijing’s municipal agencies have demonstrated outstanding dedication, playing vital roles in urban development, social governance, and public service, and exemplifying the belief that women are equally capable as men.
The event, which combined stage performances with award presentations, celebrated the contributions of these outstanding women and paid tribute to the role models who have helped shape the capital’s progress. It also served as a source of inspiration, encouraging more women to contribute their wisdom and strength in this new era.
The event opened with a short film titled Blooming with Every Step, which followed the determined and forward-moving strides of women across various sectors, offering a vivid glimpse into their everyday work and symbolic journey toward a brighter, modernized Beijing.
Fang Boyan, recipient of the Beijing March 8th Red Banner Pacesetter honor and Deputy Director of both the Outpatient Department and Neurological Rehabilitation Center at Beijing Rehabilitation Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University was honored—along with her team—for creating a digital lifeline through expert medical care and selfless dedication. Their story was portrayed in the sketch Compassion in the Cloud, which vividly illustrated how medical professionalism and humanitarian values continue to shine in the digital age. With their professional excellence, strong sense of duty, and unwavering commitment, these healthcare pioneers are composing a tribute to life itself in the new era.
The interview session Up Close with “Her” Excellence featured five outstanding recipients of the Beijing March 8th Red Banner Pacesetter honor, each a leader in her field: Hu Zhihuan, a journalist with BRTV’s News Channel, who captures the spirit of the times through her lens; Niu Yinghui, a Senior Prosecutor (Level III) at the First Branch of Beijing Municipal People’s Procuratorate, who has safeguarded justice for 23 years with both professionalism and compassion; Dr. Zhai Shuhua, who has strengthened the city’s geological disaster preparedness through 55 in-depth risk assessment reports; Li Mengnan, who has conducted over 1,800 signal tests to ensure smooth passenger travel; and Wang Ronghua, who is advancing communication convenience through technological innovation. Together, these women embody the modern spirit of “She Power” through their unwavering dedication and exceptional expertise.
In The Legacy, a narrative performance by the Social Education Department of the Museum of the War of Chinese People’s Resistance Against Japanese Aggression—a recipient of the Beijing March 8th Red Banner Collective honor—the voices of female museum guides brought to life the stories of national heroes. Their storytelling reflected how women in the new era are carrying forward revolutionary traditions with unwavering commitment and a strong sense of duty.
The Beijing Demonstration Center of Service for Persons with Disabilities, also a recipient of Beijing March 8th Red Banner Collective honor, presented a dance performance that artfully integrated sign language with choreography. This innovative piece vividly conveyed emotional narratives while highlighting the distinctive professionalism of disability service providers. Through their expressive performance, the performers powerfully advocated for equality and inclusion, embodying the human-centered values and selfless dedication that define disability professionals in the new era. The Civil Division No. 2 of the Beijing No. 3 Intermediate People’s Court, a recipient of the Beijing March 8th Red Banner Collective honor, presented Warmth Beneath the Judge’s Emblem, a stage sketch based on a real-life custody dispute. The performance depicted how female judges balance legal rigor with compassionate understanding, using insight and empathy to serve the people and deliver justice with both fairness and warmth.
The Women Duty Squad of the Second Squad of the Third Mobile Detachment at Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection—also a recipient of the Beijing March 8th Red Banner Collective honor—performed a dance piece capturing the vibrant spirit of immigration officers stationed at Beijing’s border checkpoints. Integrating modern dance with movements inspired by law enforcement, the performance embodied the courage and decisiveness of women in uniform as they confront challenges, showcasing the resilience and limitless potential of female strength.
Zhang Xiaolin, a recipient of the National March 8th Red Banner Pacesetter honor, and her team delivered a recital celebrating not only the resilience and wisdom of the women contributing to the development of Beijing’s sub-center, but also their powerful role in writing their own brilliant chapters through concrete action on this dynamic land. At the forefront of fields such as urban planning, construction, and technology, they are driving the sub-center’s high-quality development with unwavering commitment and dedication.
The Beijing Children’s Palace, a recipient of the Beijing March 8th Red Banner Collective honor, presented an opera performance titled When I Grow Up, I’ll Be Just Like You. Set in a classroom, the piece blended the timeless elegance of traditional Chinese opera with the deep bond between teachers and students. This creative production offered the audience not only the beauty of the art form but also a deeply touching tribute to the warmth of education and the lasting influence of mentorship.
At the event, sashes, certificates, and medals were awarded to recipients from municipal agencies who had received national honors—including the National March 8th Red Banner Pacesetter, National March 8th Red Banner Collective, and National Civilization Women’s Posts—as well as those recognized with the Beijing March 8th Red Banner Pacesetter and Collective honors.
