On the eve of the May Fourth Youth Day, the 2025 “Macao Students in Beijing: Honoring History and Embracing Spring” event was successfully held. Jointly organized by the Beijing Women’s Federation and the Beijing Liaison Division of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, and hosted by the Beijing Women’s Association for Hong Kong, Macao & Taiwan Compatriots and Overseas Chinese, the event welcomed nearly 20 student representatives from Macao who were studying at universities including Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University, and Nankai University.

During the event, the students visited the Tian Fengyin the Great Wall Art Museum, where they were guided by Tian Fengyin, a National March 8th Red-Banner Holder, to experience the patriotic passion and Great Wall spirit embodied in her oil paintings. They then toured the Beijing Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Applications to gain insights into Beijing’s ongoing efforts to foster an optimized environment for scientific research and development. At DU AP China, they attended presentations on topics such as sustainable development and the evolution of the digital space, absorbing cutting-edge knowledge. Finally, they visited the “Two Bombs, One Satellite” Memorial Museum at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, located on the original site of a rocket testing base, where they deeply reflected on the mission and dedication of the older generation of scientists who contributed to China’s pioneering efforts in aerospace and national defense.

The event profoundly deepened Macao students’ national identity and sense of belonging, encouraging them to actively engage in the nation’s development and contribute their youthful vitality to the high-quality growth of the capital.
