The 2025 Leadership Training Program for Grassroots Women’s Federation Cadres in Beijing has successfully concluded, further enhancing the political awareness and practical skills of grassroots women’s federation cadres, and strengthening their role in grassroots governance under the under the Party’s overall leadership.

Organized by the Grassroots Party Organization Development Department of the Beijing Women’s Federation (BWF), in partnership with the Beijing Women Cadres School, the program brought together 49 grassroots cadres from all 16 districts of the capital, as well as the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area.

The program centered on several key themes: deepening understanding and implementation of the eight-point regulation from the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), redefining the evolving role of women’s federations in grassroots governance in the new era, and examining the latest developments in artificial intelligence (AI).

With a focus on the capital’s development priorities in the new era and aligned with the professional growth of grassroots cadres, the program featured expert-led themed lectures delivered by scholars and senior officials from institutions, including the Party School of the Beijing Municipal Committee of CPC (Beijing Administration Institute), the Beijing Institute for General Artificial Intelligence, the Party School of the Chaoyang District Committee, and Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology. Additionally, in a dedicated session, the Director of BWF’s Grassroots Party Organization Development Department offered insights on further expanding women’s federations within the three new fields.

The program also combined theoretical study, group discussions, and peer exchanges, enabling participants to strengthen their ideological foundation, broaden their horizons, and foster greater collaboration across districts.

In response to the demands of the AI era and to enhance the capacity of grassroots women’s federation cadres in addressing the evolving needs of women, the training program incorporated a hands-on learning component featuring a visit to Tencent’s headquarters in Beijing.

During the site visit, participants received an immersive introduction to cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies, providing not only a firsthand look at developments at the forefront of the AI industry, but also helping stimulate innovative thinking and broaden participants’ professional horizons.

On-site learning experience

Following the visit, participants engaged in dynamic group discussions, exchanging ideas in a collaborative environment. Centered on the new challenges facing grassroots women’s federations in their daily work, the sessions featured real-world concerns, practical and actionable suggestions, and innovative approaches, providing valuable insights and successful practices that could be adapted or replicated in diverse local contexts.

These peer-to-peer exchanges fostered meaningful dialogue, encouraged collaborative problem-solving, and promoted peer learning, ultimately equipping grassroots women’s federations to respond more effectively to the needs of the communities they serve.
