To mark the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, the Beijing Women’s Federation (BWF) organized a delegation comprising BWF cadres, Executive Committee members, National March 8th Red-Banner Holders, Capital's Most Beautiful Families, women volunteers, and women from emerging industries and business formats and models. The group visited the Museum of the War of the Chinese People's Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, where they toured the exhibition themed “For National Liberation and World Peace.” The visit provided an opportunity to reflect on the history of the resistance war and to pass on the revolutionary legacy.
Stepping into the exhibition hall of “For National Liberation and World Peace” felt like entering a time tunnel connecting to the war-torn years. Organized chronologically, the exhibition features eight sections, including “National Crisis” and “Rise of Resistance.” It displays 1,525 photographs and 3,237 historical artifacts—each a silent testimony to the past. Precious historical images, archival documents, and physical exhibits, enhanced by multimedia technology, create a panoramic reenactment of the Chinese people’s 14-year epic struggle in the bloody war of resistance.
All visitors listened attentively to the explanations, often pausing before the exhibits for solemn reflection. As they revisited the war-ravaged years when the Chinese people rallied to defend their nation with blood and sacrifice, they developed a deeper appreciation for the Communist Party of China's role as the central pillar of the nation's united resistance. They also recognized the historic contributions of the Chinese people to the victory in the World Anti-Fascist War.
To honor the history of the War of Resistance and draw strength for progress, visitors pledged to carry forward and promote its outstanding spirit. They vowed to work diligently in their respective roles and contribute women's strength to advancing the high-quality development of the capital. The exhibition served as a spiritual baptism, inspiring them to stay true to their original aspirations, refine their thinking, and build consensus.
BWF will use this event as an opportunity to further strengthen ideological and political guidance for women. We will launch diverse and engaging educational campaigns to unite and mobilize more women. These efforts will encourage their continued contributions to accelerating Beijing's progress toward Chinese modernization.
