To thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and to effectively enhance the political awareness and professional capacity of social organizations, the Social Organizations Joint Party Branch under the Beijing Women’s Federation (BWF) held a training session on strengthening Party building on November 5 at the Beijing Women and Children Service Center. The training aimed to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, enhance the political awareness and professional capacity of social organizations, and strengthen the core role of Party building in advancing women’s causes.

A total of 40 participants, including leaders of BWF-supervised social organizations, heads of social organization hubs, and Party member representatives, took part in the session, injecting new momentum for promoting high-quality development of women's affairs in the capital.

The training centered on the dual themes of “Strengthening the Foundations Through Party Building” and “Enhancing Professional Capabilities,” featuring a carefully designed curriculum delivered by leading experts in the field. The content emphasized both political awareness and forward-looking vision. The Secretary of the Joint Party Branch presided over the opening ceremony, outlining the training’s objectives and significance. The Secretary emphasized that social organizations, as vital bridges connecting with women, must serve women’s development needs from a higher political standpoint and with stronger capabilities, thereby contributing to the progress of global women’s causes.

A BWF Social Work Department head delivered a lecture titled “Promoting Mass Organizations Through Party Building.” Drawing on the Federation’s practical experience, the lecture explored pathways for deep integration of Party building and mass organizations development, systematically explaining how social organizations can strengthen Party leadership, improve organizational structures, and unite women’s strength. The department head highlighted that social organizations shall closely integrate Party building with women affairs, regulate Party organization development, and leverage the exemplary role of Party members—effectively translating the Party’s political and organizational strengths into practical advantages in serving women. This, in turn, provides solid organizational support for safeguarding women’s rights and promoting family well-being.

Professor Li Yingtao, doctoral supervisor at the School of International Relations and Diplomacy (SIRD) at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), gave a lecture titled “Delve into the Fourth Plenary Session Spirit and Implement the Consensus of the World Conference on Women.” She provided an in-depth interpretation of the theme of the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women, “One Shared Future: New and Accelerated Process for Women's All-round Development,” and elaborated on China’s practical contributions to advancing global gender equality. In line with the Fourth Plenary Session’s emphasis on the modernization of China’s system and capacity for governance, she urged social organizations to take targeted actions in areas such as eliminating women’s poverty, protecting women’s rights and interests, and promoting women’s participation in decision-making, in accordance with their respective functions.

Throughout the training, participants listened attentively and engaged actively in discussions on topics such as “How can Party building better guide social organizations in serving the women’s community?” and “How can global concepts of women’s development be applied in grassroots practice?” Participants widely agreed that the training was substantial in content and focused in theme, having strengthened their political literacy and deepened their understanding of women’s development. They pledged to translate what they learned into practical outcomes, further leveraging Party building to drive social development and demonstrating renewed commitment in serving women’s development, promoting gender equality, and engaging in global cooperation on women’s issues.

The successful conduct of this training not only consolidated the Party building foundation of BWF-supervised social organizations but also established a platform for exchange and consensus-building. Going forward, the Social Organizations Joint Party Branch will continue to advance Party building and capacity enhancement for social organizations, focusing on addressing women’s most pressing and practical concerns, innovating training formats, and enriching training content. The Joint Party Branch will guide social organizations in better serving as bridges and ties, contributing to the acceleration of women’s all-round development and to building a better, shared world.
