Women Unite with Strength and Responsibility, Digital Empowerment Writes a New Chapter—DiDi Global Women’s Federation Earnestly Studies and Implements the Spirit of the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women
Date:2025-11-18 14:16:41 Views:To thoroughly study and implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s keynote address at the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women, the DiDi Global Women’s Federation has anchored its work in ideological guidance and advanced practical innovation through multiple initiatives. These efforts collectively drive gender equality and women’s empowerment, demonstrating the federation’s sense of responsibility and commitment at the corporate level.

Recently, the DiDi Global Women’s Federation convened a Special Meeting on Studying and Implementing the Spirit of the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women, inviting Professor Bu Wei from the School of Journalism and Communication at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences to provide an in-depth interpretation of the Summit’s key messages and the core meaning of President Xi’s “Four Proposals.” Participants expressed their commitment to being guided by the spirit of the Summit and contributing the strength of women in their respective roles.
Earlier, Didi was invited to the academic seminar “Beijing +30: China’s Exploration, Practice, and Experience in Digital Transformation and Women’s Development,” jointly hosted by the Women’s Studies Institute of the All-China Women’s Federation and the ACWF Women’s Development Department. Under the theme “How Digital Mobility Platforms Support Women’s Development,” Didi shared practical achievements in leveraging digital platforms to empower women.

Over the past 13 years, Didi has used digital technology as a bridge to promote women’s development. The platform has provided flexible employment opportunities for more than 1.5 million women drivers and delivery workers worldwide. In China, among the 1.05 million women drivers, 79.7% have achieved work–life balance and 86.5% have become the primary breadwinners for their families. Overseas, 480,000 women have secured stable livelihoods through the platform.
Didi also continues to strengthen women’s safety protections. In China, the functions and response mechanisms of the “Women’s Safety Center” have been continuously enhanced, while the overseas “Didi Women” feature has received multiple international awards. Meanwhile, DiDi provides targeted support for women in lower-tier cities, where the share of women drivers in third-tier and below cities exceeds that of male drivers.
Through 26,000 training sessions, the “Women Drivers Academy,” the “More Women at the Wheel” initiative, and a variety of incentive programs, Didi provides comprehensive support for women’s career development. Internally, the company continues to optimize governance: women account for 41.2% of employees and 23.6% of management positions. The Group Women’s Federation and the Women’s Alliance have jointly organized 16 empowerment activities to further cultivate women’s leadership within the company.
Looking ahead, the DiDi Global Women’s Federation will continue to take President Xi’s keynote speech at the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women as its fundamental guide and action framework. Under the guidance of the Beijing Women’s Federation, it will deepen platform innovation to provide women worldwide with more employment opportunities, stronger safety protections, and broader development prospects, continuing to contribute Didi’s strength to the high-quality development of women’s causes.
