Digital Empowerment for Her Future: 2025 Women’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Salon Successfully Held

In response to President Xi Jinping’s call at the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women to “empower women’s high-quality development through scientific and technological innovation,” and to encourage more women to engage in digital technology innovation and entrepreneurship, the 2025 Women’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Salon was successfully held on November 14. The event was hosted by the Beijing Women’s Federation and co-organized by the Beijing Women’s International Exchange Center and the Zhongguancun Digital Economy Industry Alliance. 

Under the theme “Digital Empowerment For Her Future,” the event presented vivid case studies and deep insights to explore practical pathways for empowering women in the digital era. Female entrepreneurs in digital technology, senior executives from leading tech enterprises, and other professionals attended the salon to discuss how digital technologies can inject new momentum into global gender equality and women’s career development.

Julie de Bergeyck from Agoria, Belgium’s federation for technological industries, delivered a video message sharing global digital technology trends. She emphasized that digital technologies create expanded opportunities for women in entrepreneurship, employment, and personal development. She also noted that women’s innate empathy and diverse perspectives are catalysts for scientific and technological progress. Drawing on her personal experiences, she encouraged women to actively pursue careers in technology, unlock their full potential, and contribute to shaping the future of digital innovation.

Cross-Sector Integration: Deepening the Fusion of Technological Innovation and Industrial Transformation

 

Xu Jun, Vice Chairwoman of Beiming Software Co., Ltd, shared her career journey from frontline political journalism to long-term engagement in the technology sector. She discussed how she led teams to transform AI and big data into powerful engines for enterprise transformation, implementing digital solutions in finance, transportation, government services, and other key fields. She highlighted that digital technologies transcend geographical and temporal boundaries, opening new opportunities for women in the new era to achieve self-value and enhance their participation in society. She added that women’s strength has become an increasingly important driver in advancing the digital age.

 

Team Management: Building Inclusive work Environments Through Digital Technologies

Li Tong, Deputy General Manager of Inspur Software Group Co., Ltd. Beijing Branch, introduced the company’s cutting-edge achievements in cloud computing equipment, artificial intelligence, and digital enterprise solutions. Drawing on her 19 years of professional experience and real-world management cases in tech enterprises, she explained actionable approaches to building effective management systems. She also discussed how digital technologies can help create inclusive, equitable, and supportive environments for women’s development.

A lively discussion followed on how women can seize opportunities in the digital wave and how digital empowerment can accelerate women’s growth.

Jin Qiuhong, Party Secretary and Chairwoman of the Beijing Public Transport Cooperation, spoke about the unique strengths of female leaderssuch as meticulousness, inclusiveness, and resiliencein driving transformation and strengthening team cohesion. She encouraged women entrepreneurs to cultivate digital mindsets and confidently become creators in the digital economy. She also shared the Group’s successful experiences in technological innovation and digital transformation. Through digital empowerment and reforms, the company has built a new industry ecosystem featuring smart public transport and green mobility.

During visits to the Beijing Public Transport Hall and the Dispatching & Emergency Command Center, participants experienced firsthand the practical impact of digitalized operations in areas such as intelligent scheduling and big data analytics.

One female entrepreneur expressed her excitement, “The insights from domestic and international guests showed me that women have tremendous potential in the digital era—it truly inspired me.” 

Another participant added, “Our company needs digital transformation, and today we were able to connect with technology resources that can help. I truly felt the Women’s Federation’s practical support.”

Going forward, the Beijing Women’s Federation will continue to integrate high-quality resources, build an open and collaborative platform for international exchange, and promote women’s development through technological empowerment.
