The event was jointly hosted by the Beijing Women’s Federation, the Beijing Academy of Social Sciences (Beijing Municipal Party Committee Lecture Group), and the Weibo Party Committee, and organized by the Weibo Women’s Federation. Zhang Ningyu, Vice Chairperson of the Beijing Women’s Federation, and Cao Zenghui, Secretary of the Weibo Party Committee, attended the event.
More than 100 participants attended, including officials from the Cyberspace Administration Office of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee, the Internet Enterprises Work Committee of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee, the Women’s Federation of Haidian District, Weibo employee representatives, and prominent online influencers. The event was livestreamed through the Beijing Time platform, enabling millions of online viewers to read touching stories together and reflect on the values of family and patriotism.

Zhao Zihan, a member of the Party Committee, editorial board member, and director of the integrated media editorial office of China Women’s News, participated extensively in the compilation of Xi Jinping Zoujin Baixing Jia (the book Xi Jinping Visits Families as a planner, coordinator, reporter, and editor. She emotionally reflected on the writing process and shared the team’s experiences and insights gained through repeated home visits.

Zhu Maojin, a resident of Caochang Sitiao Hutong Community in Dongcheng District and recipient of the “National Most Beautiful Family” honor, fondly recalled the visit seven years ago when General Secretary Xi came to Caochang Sitiao Hutong, made dumplings with his family, and chatted with them about everyday life. Today, Zhu and his family actively participate in the “Courtyard Deliberation Hall” community governance mechanism, encouraging neighbors to improve the hutong environment and putting into practice the General Secretary’s earnest instructions on protecting the old city and preserving the distinctive character of Beijing’s hutongs.

During the book-sharing session, Weibo employees born in the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s, along with online influencers, shared their reflections in turn. From different perspectives, they highlighted the dual responsibilities of women in the new era in both professional and family life, demonstrating the diverse strength and vitality of women in emerging sectors.
Zhang Ningyu also shared her reflections on the book. She noted that, as an important representative of women’s contributions in Beijing’s emerging sectors, Weibo has brought together many outstanding female professionals and online influencers. She expressed hope that everyone would become “strivers who create new opportunities through hard work” and communicators of “positive online values,” transforming the General Secretary’s expectations into motivation for entrepreneurship and public service, and contributing to broader social harmony through harmonious families.

A book presentation ceremony was held during the event. Attending leaders presented copies of Xi Jinping Zoujin Baixing Jia (the book Xi Jinping Visits Families (Second Volume) to representatives of the Weibo Women’s Federation and Weibo employees. The event aimed to encourage women in emerging sectors to build strong families, carry forward positive family values, and inject more women’s positive contributions into cyberspace in support of national development and rejuvenation.
