To further deepen and solidify the education campaign on establishing and practicing a correct understanding of what it means to perform well, and to effectively translate the strengths of Party building into a powerful driving force for serving rural revitalization in the capital, the Beijing Municipal Women’s Federation visited the Tongzhou Seed Industry Research Base of the Institute of Vegetables and Flowers under the Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences on the morning of June 12. The base is a designated learning and exchange site for “Four-Strong” Party branches among Beijing municipal government agencies. The two organizations jointly held a themed Party Day activity.
At the Tongzhou Seed Industry Research Base, all Party members toured the greenhouses and variety demonstration areas, where they observed the growth performance of new varieties of tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet peppers, and other vegetables. They gained a detailed understanding of key aspects of agricultural innovation, including variety breeding, green pest and disease control, facility-based cultivation, and demonstration and extension services. Experts from the Institute of Vegetables and Flowers introduced a series of breakthrough achievements made in recent years in areas such as seed industry innovation and smart agriculture. The vigorous growth and distinctive characteristics of the high-quality and new vegetable varieties vividly demonstrated the strong momentum that science and technology brings to modern agriculture. Party members and officials from the women’s federation listened attentively and actively engaged with experts. They discussed various topics such as market adaptability of vegetable varieties, labor-saving cultivation techniques, and the role of technology in supporting rural women’s entrepreneurship and employment.
The activity focused on the central task of developing women-led specialty industries in support of rural revitalization. The two sides held in-depth planning and discussions on how digital agriculture and smart agricultural technologies can better support women’s entrepreneurship and business development. Moving forward, the Beijing Municipal Women’s Federation will take this joint themed Party Day activity as an opportunity to further strengthen its Party-building cooperation mechanism, translating organizational advantages into development strengths. Through enhanced Party-building collaboration, deeper integration of professional work, and complementary strengths, the Federation will leverage high-quality Party building to lead and support high-quality development, promote technology-enabled women’s development, and contribute women’s strength to the comprehensive rural revitalization.
