Beijing Women's Federation

On the afternoon of July 24, the Beijing Women’s Federation held a symposium for young cadres. Zhou Zhijun, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group and President of the Federation, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. All young cadres from the Federation’s administrative organs and affiliated public institutions attended the event.

During the meeting, 12 young cadre representatives delivered remarks in turn. Focusing on the study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building and his important discourses on establishing and practicing a correct understanding of governance performance, they shared insights based on their personal growth and professional responsibilities.

After listening to the speakers, Zhou Zhijun delivered concluding remarks. She emphasized that young cadres are the driving force and successors of the women’s federation cause. Living in a great era, they must solidify their ideals and convictions, integrate their personal growth into the broader cause of the Party and the country, and deepen their understanding of Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building. She urged them to combine learning with reflection in their daily work and let a correct understanding of governance performance guide their work and entrepreneurship.

Zhou offered four expectations for the young cadres:

First, embrace advanced technology. They should proactively learn new technologies and applications, leveraging modern tools such as artificial intelligence and big data to boost efficiency and service levels, thereby expanding channels and platforms to connect with and serve women.

Second, strengthen determination and build resilience in overcoming difficulties. They should view risks and setbacks on the path ahead with the right mindset, maintaining enthusiasm and a pioneering spirit. By proactively taking on responsibilities and tackling challenges with confidence, they should demonstrate the professionalism of young women’s federation cadres in the new era through solid performance.

Third, broaden international perspective and cultivate a global vision. They should actively engage with the rest of the world and foster inclusivity and understanding of diverse cultures. With the mindset of “harmony in diversity,” they should promote the common progress of women’s causes in Beijing and worldwide through openness and mutual learning.

Fourth, foster a strong commitment to serving the people. They should immerse themselves in grassroots communities to understand real-life conditions and add a “human touch” to their work. By delivering services that truly meet the needs of women, children, and families, they should demonstrate the vitality and dedication of young people in the new era.
