Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) held a promotion meeting on Party building and a training course for Party branch secretaries and cadres who are responsible for Party-related work on September 14. Li Xiangfu, an inspector of BWF, Qu Cheng and Yang Qiang, from the 10th guiding group of Party History Learning and Education of the Beijing municipal Party committee, attended the meeting.
Attaching importance to Party history learning and education, Party building and improving conduct, the work in the latter half of the year was discussed at the meeting. Party branches of BWF's department for family and children's affairs, working committee for woman and children and Beijing Women's International Center reported highlights and achievements of their work in the first half of 2021.
Zhang Yajun, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and President of BWF, affirmed the achievements made by Party committees and Party branches during the celebration of the centenary of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
New requirements for work were raised by Zhang. She urged all Party committees and Party branches to follow the political guidance of the CPC Central Committee and the Beijing municipal Party committee unswervingly.
General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech at a ceremony marking the CPC's centenary should be deeply understood and implemented, said Zhang. She called for promoting Party learning and education among women to improve the development of the cause of women and children in Beijing.
The quality of Party building work was emphasized to build BWF into a model unit. Zhang also urged to improve Party members' conduct and capabilities of handling the work for the people in new conditions.
Yang Yuncheng, associate professor at the Beijing Administration Institute, gave a class about the study and implementation of the Party Constitution. He stressed the importance of learning the Party Constitution, the basic content, and the cordiality of strictly abiding by the regulations in the constitution. The class helped cadres doing Party-related have a deeper understanding of the Party Constitution and guided them how to improve capabilities.
The meeting was presided over by Wei Jiang, Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice-President of the BWF. More than 40 people including members of the BWF Party and disciplinary inspection committees, Party branch secretaries, cadres, and trade union members attended the meeting and training class.
