The scroll is 202.2 meters in length (0.9 meters in width), which is particularly tailored to symbolize the Olympic year of 2022. It consists of seven paintings, with each expressing an independent theme such as preparing for the Games, using clean energy and advanced technologies and hosting the Games for a shared future. The painting helped Beijing women send sincere blessings to the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games, and showed that BWF has united women and social organizations to contribute to the event.
The scroll had been divided into 380 pieces and distributed to the 380 participating women-led social organizations. Participants were required to write down their commitment to the Games such as traveling in environment-friendly ways and spreading Olympic culture. They can also recreate some contents including poems, couplets and greetings written in traditional calligraphy and paintings of mountains and rivers, the Great Wall, lanterns and sports events, and embroideries of Games mascots Bing Dwen Dwen and Shuey Rhon Rhon.
Every participant gave full play to their strengths. The 380 pieces were all returned through the efforts of participating organizations despite difficulties and problems met along the way.
Zhang Yajun, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and President of the BWF, and Xu Wei, Secretary of the joint Party committee for industrial associations and chambers of commerce in Beijing, participated in the creation of the Olympic-themed scroll.
