BWF Visits, Sends New Year Greetings to Women

To give full play to the role of bridging the Party and women, and give care to women, children and families in the capital, Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) has launched an activity with the theme "building warm home, sharing beautiful life" for the New Year and the Chinese New Year. It has organized, together with district-level women's federations and relevant departments and units, home visits and/or volunteer services to women and children in need, as well as women who will stay in Beijing during the Spring Festival holiday.

 

Visiting Women Migrant Workers

 

President of the BWF Zhang Yajun visited Beijing Sichuan Wuliangye Longzhaoshu Hotel and Beijing Longzhao Trading Co. and talked to representatives of Sichuan women who work in catering, housekeeping industries and tourism in Beijing to learn the condition of their health, income and education of their children. Zhang thanked them for their contributions to Beijing's economic and social development, and encouraged them to continue doing their part in carrying forward good family traditions and promoting the city's development.

 

BWF cadres visit migrant workers from Sichuan who will stay in Beijing during the Spring Festival holiday.

 

Visiting Veteran Women Cadres

 

The leadership of the BWF went to various districts in the capital to visit veteran cadres of the Women National Salvation Association, and saluted them for their dedication to the Party's cause during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggressions (1931-45). BWF leaders asked about their physical condition and life, telling them to take care of themselves, and sincerely wishing them happiness and well-being. The veteran cadres also expressed their gratitude to the Party and the country, and to the BWF for its care.

Visiting Sanitation Workers

 

Zhao Hongwei, Vice-President of the BWF, went to Chaoyang District to convey festival blessings to front-line female sanitation workers serving the Winter Olympics. She distributed gift packages that contained thermoses, gloves and other items, and affirmed their hard work and achievements.

Visiting Housekeepers

 

Representatives of the Development Department of the BWF went to six women's housekeeping service enterprises, such as Ayilaile, and extended greetings to their staff members. The representatives thanked the housekeepers for their choice to stay in Beijing during the Spring Festival holiday, and told them to take care of themselves amid the ongoing epidemic.
