Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) holds a meeting on Party history learning and education.

 

Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) held a meeting on January 26 to summarize Party history learning and education campaign. The meeting was held to consolidate the achievements of Party history learning.

 

Gu Zhangfei, head of a guiding group of the Party history learning and education of Beijing Municipal Party Committee, attended the meeting. Zhao Hongwei, Member of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice-President of the BWF, presided over the meeting.

 

Wei Jiang, Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice-President of the BWF, led the participants to study the spirit of General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee Xi Jinping's important instructions and the spirits of meetings on Party history learning held by the Party Central Committee and the Beijing Municipal Party Committee.

 

In view of the current achievements of BWF in Party history learning and education, Zhang Yajun, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and President of BWF, also the leader responsible for Party history learning and education in BWF, proposed new requirements for future work.

 

First, Zhang asked attendees to continue to study the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on Party history learning and education and further enhance their sense of political responsibility and the historical mission of promoting women's work in Beijing. They must develop a good grasp of the essence of the instructions and improve deficiencies, and unify thinking and action in implementation of the Party Central Committee's decisions. Political development should be prioritized in Party building and the consciousness of the need to maintain political commitment should be strengthened in the whole process and all aspects of women's work. Cadres should seek experience, rules and inspirations from history, and find the focus of BWF's work, promoting the development of Beijing in the new stage and the work of BWF to a higher level.

 

Second, Zhang urged to summarize the achievements of the campaign and rally great spiritual power for fulfilling great missions. She reviewed the five major approaches and the significant results from four aspects of BWF's efforts to implement the campaign. She emphasized the study and implementation of the spirit of the sixth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee and the importance of strengthening theoretical study and political capability. Cadres must act in line with the people-centered philosophy and carry forward the spirit of struggle to promote the development of women's cause in Beijing in new era.

 

Third, Zhang called for constantly consolidating the results of Party history learning and education. Women's federations at all levels should thoroughly implement the requirements of the meetings of the Party Central Committee and the municipal Party committee and work out regular, long-term mechanisms. They should seriously organize meetings to hear reports on implementation of Party history learning and education campaign so as to drive the construction of the team of BWF cadres, guiding cadres to strengthen confidence and fighting spirit and uniting them to make new and greater contributions to the new development of Beijing, and prepare for the Party's 20th national congress with outstanding achievements.

 

Members of the Leading Party Members' Group of BWF, director-generals of departments and all Party members and cadres of the BWF and its public institutions attended the meeting.
