As Hong Kong grapples with its worst wave of the COVID-19 pandemic to date, Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) recently sent greetings to representatives of the All-China Women’s Federation’s executive committee members from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

After learning about their need for Lianhua Qingwen Capsules, a patented TCM medicine that has been included in the national clinical guidelines on COVID-19 diagnosis and treatment medicine, BWF has taken action quickly to collect resources. The Beijing Women's Association for Hong Kong, Macao & Taiwan Compatriots and Overseas Chinese raised funds among its members immediately and used the funds to purchase and deliver the medicine. At the same time, Meng Lihong, member of the Standing Committee of the BWF, actively found resources and purchased the medicine. All the supplies were delivered to the All-China Women's Federation Hong Kong Delegates Association on March 3. The medicine will be distributed to all the women in need.

Some women from Hong Kong said that they have felt the warmth from the motherland, and they were grateful to receive the support including epidemic prevention supplies and meat, poultry, vegetables and fruits. They vowed to work hard to fight the epidemic at their posts, with the conviction that all difficulties will certainly be overcome when people are united as one.
