With the 112^th International Women's Day falling on this beautiful spring day, Beijing Women's Federation extends festive greetings and best wishes to the city’s women, who are all worthy of respect.

On March 6, Chinese President Xi Jinping, also General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, extended festive greetings and best wishes to the country’s women of all ethnic groups and from all walks of life, which has greatly encouraged us.

Women are creators of material and spiritual wealth, and represent an important force driving social development and progress. In the past year, women in Beijing integrated their personal ideals with the development of the Party and the country, and strived to make the capital a hub of politics, culture, international exchange and technological innovation. They make outstanding contributions in various fields covering politics, economy and culture with their wisdom.

The times call for us to work hard for our dreams. In building China into a modern socialist country in all respects, every woman becomes a beautiful sight of the new era when they pursue their dream, and women’s strengths are solid support for creating a bright future. Women in Beijing should remember General Secretary Xi Jinping’s care and firmly follow the Party’s leadership. We should devote to high-quality growth of the city, striving to build the great cause, advocate good social norms and pursue dreams. In this way, we will demonstrate women's important role of "holding up half of the sky" with no less courage or effort than men, and prepare well for the CPC's 20th National Congress.
