Beijing Women and Children Development Foundation Raises Anti-Epidemic Supplies for Shanghai, Jilin

To help Shanghai and Beijing get a resurgence of the novel coronavirus under control, 75 health workers from Beijing have been sent to the two regions. The Leading Party Group of the Beijing Womens Federation quickly mobilized the Beijing Women and Children Development Foundation to leverage its charitable functions to raise anti-epidemic supplies for Shanghai and Jilin to aid their fight against recent COVID-19 flare-ups.

Salute to Families of Medical Workers

Guided by Beijing Womens Federation, Beijing Women and Children Development Foundation used the funds of a womens anti-epidemic program to buy special packages which contained milk, nuts and olive oil, and delivered the packages to the families of the 75 medical workers who have been sent to Shanghai and Jilin to aid their battle against a resurgence of COVID-19.

Women Entrepreneurs Contribute to Epidemic Control

 

Beijing Women and Children Development Foundation has rallied more support from local firms in response to the needs of frontline female health workers in Shanghai.

Beijing Snow Lotus Biotech Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of reproductive and healthcare products for women, has organized its staff to accelerate their production of anti-epidemic materials and donated female hygiene products worth 1.5 million yuan (about $235,109) to Beijing Women and Children Development Foundation.

A ceremony was held in Mafang Industrial Park in Pinggu, a district of Beijing, on April 9 to mark the delivery of the anti-epidemic supplies and other materials for Shanghai. Those in attendance at the ceremony included Wang Yang, President of the Beijing Women and Children Development Foundation, and An Zhongyan, Chairperson of the Beijing Association of Women Entrepreneurs and Vice-President of the Beijing Women and Children Development Foundation.
