All district-level women's federations in Beijing have held various publicity activities to mark China's first National Family Education Promotion Week around the International Day of Families, which falls on May 15 annually, to promote the implementation of the law on family education promotion, and guide parents to assume their primary responsibility in family education.

 

Dongcheng District

The women's federations and families in Dongcheng have proactively attended a special quiz on the law on family education promotion on xuexi.cn. Dongcheng Women's Federation has invited family education experts to give tips on raising children and held online courses, launched a family education class with an emphasis upon improving parenting skills in collaboration with Marriage and Family magazine, and organized a conference on reviewing the progress made by the district, through a family-school-society cooperation mechanism, in guarding the healthy growth of children and injecting love into families.

 

Xicheng District

Xicheng Women's Federation has released a promotional video about the stories of local role model families, invited Lu Yongli, President of Beijing No.2 Experimental Primary School, to give a family education lecture via video link, organized online training related to the law on family education promotion, mobilized its executive members to take part in community-level charity activities, and opened a column on social media and website on the law on family education promotion.

 

Chaoyang District

Chaoyang Women's Federation has sponsored a series of online activities, including a quiz, to promote the implementation of the law on family education promotion.

 

Haidian District

Haidian Women's Federation has promoted the law on family education promotion via advertisement boards, bus stops and electronic display screens, provided counseling and guidance services on family education to the public through online classes, and spread the stories of local role model families.

 

Fengtai District

Local women have been organized to talk about their experience and practices in the observation of fine conduct at a gathering held by Fengtai Women's Federation in collaboration with the district’s department of discipline inspection and supervision. In addition, the federation has held live-streamed lectures on family building, family education and family traditions and founded a volunteers’ team to promote the popularity of family building, family education and family traditions and to strengthen the protection of juveniles.

 

Shijingshan District

Shijingshan Women's Federation has set up special online columns and opened online courses to guide and support local parents to conduct family education, enhance quality and efficiency in exchanges with their children, and foster fine character and confidence in children.

 

Mentougou District

Mentougou Women's Federation has held online courses on the family education promotion law, inaugurated parent-child reading activities, and collected inspiring stories which demonstrate the loyalty of children to the Party and portray their family education practices.

 

Fangshan District

Fangshan Women's Federation has launched a number of online activities to spread knowledge on family education.

 

Tongzhou District

Tongzhou Women's Federation has leveraged media outlets of various departments to make the stories of role model families better known, provided juveniles with psychological assistance in a special program, and mobilized local families to take part in a special quiz on the law on family education promotion on xuexi.cn.

 

Shunyi District

Shunyi Women's Federation has launched a parent-child reading activity, strengthened the building of family civilization by encouraging the public to show their respect and gratitude to health workers on the frontline of epidemic prevention and control, opened online courses for epidemic-affected teenage students, and spread the stories of model families.

 

Changping District

Changping Women's Federation has launched parent-child reading activities and produced courses on the law on family education promotion in collaboration with the district’s court and other government departments, and created a column to help the public, especially children, learn more about revolutionary stories, traditional crafts and fine traditions in Beijing.

 

Daxing District

Daxing Women's Federation has produced five short videos and films on bringing up children in accordance with laws and regulations, held 10 quizzes on the law of family education promotion, opened five live-streamed parenting classes, organized two handicraft courses, and founded a family education guidance center.

 

Huairou District

Huairou Women's Federation has opened a column on family building, family education and family traditions, organized family education lectures, recommended books to the general public and created a database of family education.

 

Pinggu District

Pinggu Women's Federation has launched online parents' classes and organized activities to promote family education and the law on family education promotion.

 

Miyun District

Miyun Women's Federation has made posters and online courses to promote the implementation of the law on family education promotion and strengthen communication between parents and children.

 

Yanqing District

Yanqing Women's Federation has organized local families to write a letter to the motherland, and launched a column on family education on its WeChat account.
