Beijing Women's Federation

To all executive members of women’s federations at district, township (sub-district) and village (community) levels:

The epidemic situation in Beijing remains grim and complex and that there is no room for hesitation and slackness. Beijing Women's Federation hopes that all executive members of women's federations at all levels across the city will stand out and offer their wisdom and strength to help the city combat the latest COVID-19 resurgence. We make the following proposals:

1.Bear the big picture in mind, bolster public confidence

All executive members shall take the lead in the learning and implementation of key instructions given by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on epidemic prevention and control, earnestly carry out the arrangements made by the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPC and the Beijing Municipal People's Government on epidemic response, adhere to the leadership of Party committees, mobilize women from all sectors to strictly follow epidemic prevention and control measures, help the public raise their self-protection awareness, guide them to boycott rumors and unreasonable comments, promote positive energy and enhance their confidence in getting the epidemic under control.

2.Take preventive measures, safeguard social stability and public order

All executive members of grassroots women’s federations shall be responsible for their personal health and protection and lead a healthy and hygienic lifestyle. All should wear facial masks in public, wash hands frequently, maintain regular ventilation and keep social distancing, and should proactively take part in mass nucleic acid testing, follow quarantine measures if necessary and become vaccinated against COVID-19. All should give full play to their unique strengths in guiding and leading women around them to learn more about epidemic prevention and control knowledge, closely monitor the health of all people at their home, and pitch in the building of a strong defense line against the epidemic.

3.Come forward boldly, be a pacesetter on the front line

All executive members shall always be prepared to take on challenges on the epidemic response front line. Under the leadership of Party committees at all levels and the guidance of women’s federations, executive members should fulfill their obligations by leveraging all resources and personal advantages in the participation of various volunteer services, which include promotion of epidemic control knowledge, regular inspections of hidden transmission chains, the supply of medical materials and mental counseling. In addition, all executive members shall help make the stories of frontline role models better known, guide and lead women and their families to take part in epidemic prevention and control.

Sisters, perseverance means victory. Let us work together with confidence and contribute our strength to the comprehensive success in the fight with epidemic.
