Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) proactively responded to and extensively took part in the sixth sports meeting of departments directly under the Beijing municipal Party committee and the municipal government. The Leading Party Group of the BWF attached great importance to the sports meeting, made special arrangements and members of the group participated in some of the games. BWF also held month-long serial events from the end of August to the end of September to set the stage for the opening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and to improve the physical health of its members.

BWF organized its staff workers to take part in work-break exercises on a daily basis in accordance with the competition rules. Senior officials took the lead in doing the exercises while members from the trade union showed their positive and energetic spirit by taking photos.

On October 10, the annual World Mental Health Day, BWF invited Bai Yaqin, a psychologist, to give a lecture on how to handle relations between family members, especially parents and children, and people-to-people relations in the workplace. Participants said that the lecture helped them grasp a better understanding of skills and practices in dealing with all types of relations.
