Beijing Women's Federation

Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) on March 28 held a meeting on grassroots organizational building on the first season of this year. The meeting aimed to convey, study and implement guiding principles of relevant conferences held by the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) and the BWF. Heads of district-level women's federations shared their experiences and practices during the first three months. Wei Jiang, vice-president of the BWF, made arrangements of the key tasks concerning grassroots organization building for the rest months of the year.

The meeting noted that the work on grassroots organizational building should follow the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, comprehensively study and act on guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress, adhere to the development philosophy that features joint building and sharing, deepen the reform of women's federations, and ensure they preserve and strengthen their political consciousness, advanced nature, and orientation toward the people. The meeting stressed that district-level women's federations should ensure full implementation of decisions and requirements by the central and the municipal Party committees with concrete actions, intensify their efforts on grassroots organization building, help executive members better fulfill their duties, provide regular services to new business sectors, pool wisdom and strength from the public, and foster deep affection toward the people.

Those in attendance of the meeting included vice-presidents of district-level women's federations in charge of the organization and publicity work.
