Beijing Women's Federation

To further study and implement the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and translate the objectives and tasks outlined by the congress and the 13th Beijing municipal Party congress into reality, Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) held the first Party Members’ Class in 2023 on March 31. 

During the class, five BWF members of staff, who had took part in major and central work in the capital city, talked about their working experiences and shared their thoughts about how to study and implement the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress.

Chen Wentao is committed to living up to the expectations of General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping on young people. He dares to should responsibilities and works in a down-to-earth manner. In his speech, he shared the experience of providing high-quality preparation, reception services during the annual “two sessions.” Fang Tingting, a willing learner, has personally raised standards for her work related to organization affairs. Li Yue has strengthened her Party spirit, personal capacity building and team work spirit during her participation in intense discipline inspections. Shen Jie has run against the clock and made unique contributions to the formulation of local policies on COVID-19 pandemic control. Zhang Yingli has written a splendid chapter in the fulfillment of her political duties as a supervisor on the front line of fighting COVID-19.

Together, they have represented the positive energies of BWF faculty members, demonstrating their strong political competence and sense of responsibility in the completion of the capital city's major and central work.

Over the past few years, BWF has intensified its efforts to foster a group of high-caliber cadres, followed the right approach in the selection and appointment of officials, honed the competence and experience of its staff amid their participation in major, difficult and pressing work of great concern, and cultivated a fine atmosphere for them to strive for self-improvement. Since 2021, the federation has organized Party members and role models to share their exemplary stories, polished the brand of the Party Members’ Class event, deepened ideological and political work and the education of Party members, scaled up political and organizational functions of grassroots Party branches, enhanced the competence of Party members and cadres in terms of political judgment, understanding and execution, and helped them become more willing and capable of completing their work.

In its next step, BWF will closely follow guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress; undertake the educational campaign on studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era; hold diverse educational activities for its Party members via the Party Members’ Class event; lead and guide all Party members and cadres to acquire a deep understanding of the decisive importance of the establishment of both Comrade Xi Jinping's core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole, as well as the guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era; boost their consciousness of the need to maintain political integrity, think in big-picture terms, follow the leadership core, and keep in alignment with the central Party leadership; stay confident in the path, the theory, the system and the culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics; uphold Comrade Xi Jinping's core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole, and uphold the Central Committee's authority and its centralized, unified leadership, advance their political competence, firm up their Party spirit, focus on the overall work of the capital, and endeavor to elevate the work on women to a higher level with enthusiasm and concrete actions.
