A women lecturers' group, organized for the study and implementation of the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), gave a lecture at the Beijing Government Service Center on June 6.

Organized by the committee for Party affairs of departments directly under the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and Beijing Women's Federation (BWF), the event was part of the education campaign on the study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. It drew the attendance of He Qun, deputy Party secretary of the committee for Party affairs of departments directly under the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee; Zhao Hongwei, member of the Leading Party Members' Group and vice-president of the BWF; Liu Qiang, an inspector from the Beijing Municipal Administration of Government Services; and over 200 workers from the Beijing Government Service Center and the service hotline 12345, as well as Party members and cadres from the Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport and the Qianxian Journal.

Five delegates to the 20th CPC National Congress shared personal experiences of studying and implementing the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress and talked about their endeavors to make new achievements in the workplace under the leadership of the Party.

Cong Huimin, a National March 8th Red-Banner Holder and vice-director of Beijing Dairy Cattle Centre (BDCC) under Beijing Capital Agribusiness & Foods Group, has witnessed and contributed to the notable development of the dairy industry in the capital city over the decades. She has closely followed the people-centered development philosophy, promoted the high-quality development of the dairy sector, and encouraged more people to take part in the innovation-driven development of the seed industry, fulfilling her responsibility and mission of a grass-roots Party member.

Jia Li, a Beijing’s Model Worker and a guide with Beijing Fragrant Hills Park, has fulfilled her duties in forging great strength from revolutionary resources of Fragrant Hills Park for Party members and officials. Right now, she has had higher sense of responsibility and mission in striving to be an inheritor of revolutionary culture whilst passing new tests on the road ahead.

Li Meng, a Beijing March 8th Red-Banner Holder and a pump technician at Dongcheng District Sanitation Center, has closely carried forward the spirit of Shi Chuanxiang, the country's first-generation model worker who spent 40 years shoveling waste out of public toilets before having modern plumbing. She said that she will do her utmost to win public satisfaction and make extraordinary contributions to the further improvement of the capital city's urban environment.

Li Meihong, a National March 8th Red-Banner Holder, Party secretary and director of Bajiaozhongli Residential Community in Shijingshan district, is committed to making the Party's love and caring felt by ordinary people and delivering real benefits to them with concrete measures. During the lecture event, She echoed the statement made by General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping in his report to the 20th CPC National Congress that "This country is its people; the people are the country,” saying that she and her colleagues will always work hard to meet the people’s needs.

Chang Hongxia, a Beijing March 8th Red-Banner Medal winner and a bus driver from the No. 4 branch of Beijing Public Transport, has driven buses safely for over 500,000 kilometers and received no complaints from passengers in a span of nearly three decades. She has made outstanding performance at the workplace with greater duty sense.

During the event, attending officials presented copies of a book about the interactions between General Secretary Xi and the people during his domestic inspection tours, to representatives of Party members and officials from departments directly under the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee.

Some attendees held discussions with the five delegates to the 20th CPC National Congress. They said that the theme lecture event contained lots of knowledge and has been an important carrier for them to engage in the education campaign on the study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, adding that they will follow the example of delegates to the 20th CPC National Congress, thoroughly study and implement the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress, carry out the education campaign, and ensure the full implementation of general requirements of the theme education campaign. The goal is to enhance cohesion and pool strengths to forge ahead with enterprise and fortitude on the new journey and strive in unity to build a modern socialist country in all respects and advance the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts.
