Wang, female, Han ethnicity, was born in March 1982. She was a resident of Guashi Village in Beijing's Fangshan District and a project manager of Beijing Meianju Technology Co., Ltd.
Wang and her teammates of Beijing Blue Sky Rescue Team on July 30 rushed to Fangshan to carry out an evacuation mission in the midst of relentless downpours. They stayed put to ensure the safety of passing people and vehicles when they found the base of Ban'gezhuang Bridge was severely damaged.
On July 31, Wang was swept away by the currents of a flash flood and was later found to have lost her life. Since she joined the rescue team 10 years ago, Wang has strongly advocated the spirit of humanity, fraternity and dedication, participated in 136 emergency rescue missions, responded to people's call, done her utmost to serve the people and save their lives, As an enthusiastic volunteer, she was keen to attend public welfare activities, persisted in making donations to the public welfare fund on a monthly basis, helped disadvantaged students complete their academic studies, and made unique contributions to the country and society within her capabilities.
Wang rushed to the frontlines of the rescue and relief mission with scant regard for her own safety and sacrificed her life to save others' lives when the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the people needed her. Her noble action vividly represented the spirit of putting the people first and saving lives with ultimate love.
Wang has emerged as an outstanding figure in the latest round of flood control and disaster relief. Therefore, BWF and Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau awarded the special title to honor her heroic deeds and promote positive energy in society. The two authorities urged women from all social sectors in the capital to follow the example of Wang, draw inspiration from her noble spirit of fraternity and selfless dedication, strive to foster fine character, rally closely around the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, work hard and make progress at their own positions, and contribute personal efforts to helping Beijing become a national pacesetter in basically achieving socialist modernization.
