Beijing Women's Federation

On January 12, Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) received a 31-member delegation from the Federation of HK Jiangsu Women Organizations, headed by Zhang Xinyu. Chen Tieying, Deputy Inspector of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and representatives from the Liaison Department of the BWF and the Fengtai District Women's Federation joined the reception.

The delegation visited the Beijing Flower Trading Center under the Beijing Green Garden Group Co, Ltd. Led by Lin Qiaoling, Chairman of the Beijing Green Garden Group Co, Ltd and a Beijing’s March 8 Red-Banner Holder, they learned about flower auctions and the construction of digital trading platforms, and visited the main venue of the first Family Horticultural Carnival and the 2024 Beijing Spring Festival Flower Exhibition. The blooming flowers in winter, soil-less cultivation of plants, and the digital trading platform built based on big data received praise from the delegation.

As a women’s federation-related business center and a demonstration base for women's exchange and communication in Beijing, the Beijing Green Garden Group is a national high-tech enterprise and a Zhongguancun high-tech enterprise. It has provided flowers for major events such as China’s 70th National Day, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and the 2022 Winter Olympics. It has led women in starting their businesses in new industries, and has won honors such as national outstanding women’s groups for achievements.

 

During the event, the delegation expressed their gratitude to BWF for their warm reception. They were impressed by the achievements made by Beijing in industrial upgrading empowered by digital economy. They hope to strengthen exchange and cooperation among women in Beijing and Hong Kong in the future, and join hands to integrate into the national development and make contributions to the great cause of national rejuvenation with women's wisdom and strength.
