Recently, women's federations at all levels in Beijing have organized visits and brought the warm care of the Party (Communist Party of China) and the government to women, children, and families.

On the afternoon of January 17, Zhang Yajun, Secretary of the Leading Party Members Group and President of the Beijing Women's Federation (BWF), and some BWF staff workers visit the families of Xiong Li and Wang Hongchun, who sacrificed their lives in flood-relief efforts, on behalf of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF).

Following the sacrifice of Comrades Xiong and Wang, the ACWF posthumously awarded them the title of National March 8th Red-Banner Holder, while the BWF and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security posthumously awarded Beijing March 8th Red-Banner Medal to Wang. The federations called on women to learn from Xiong and Wangs outstanding character and spirit of struggle.

Zhang presented the medals and certificates to the families of the martyrs, expressing admiration for their selfless dedication. She stated that at the time when the Party and the people needed them the most, Xiong and Wang fearlessly rushed to the front lines, interpreting the People Comes First principle with practical actions and demonstrating women's sense of responsibility. They are role models for everyone to learn from. Zhang provided the families with daily necessities and asked about their health conditions. She particularly expressed concern for the children's education, inquiring about their academic progress and encouraging them to study hard and grow up healthily. She emphasized that women's federations would continue to pay attention to the living conditions of the families of the martyrs, leveraging the roles of women volunteers to provide assistance in family education and other aspects of life.

Yu Huafeng, Secretary of the CPC Mentougou District Committee, and Bao Jian, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Fangshan District Committee and Secretary of the Legal Affairs Committee of the CPC Fangshan District Committee, and other relevant officials participated in the visits.
