Delegates Meet the Press During 15th Beijing Municipal Women's Congress

Eight delegates to the 15th Beijing Municipal Women's Congress met with journalists on the night of July 8. Zhao Hongwei, Spokesperson of Beijing Women's Federation (BWF), presided over the event.

 

Those delegates included Jiang Ying, President of Beijing Internet Court, who has engaged in the hearing of intellectual property and internet-related cases for over three decades; Namula, Head of the Middle School Affiliated with Central Conservatory of Music, who has been dedicated to the promotion of cultural exchanges via music; Liu Mengmeng, President of Fengtai District Women's Federation, who has done her utmost to push for organizational building in grassroots women's federations and the work on family ties, values and traditions; Wang Xiaoju, Director of the General Affairs (Big Data) Office in Beijing Municipal Ecological and Environmental Monitoring Center, who has played a pivotal role in the new-type prevention and control of air pollution; Zhang Dongmin, Chief Supervisor of Strategic Research in Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence, who has worked on technological innovation in new-type research institutions; Tian Ying, Head of Fee Collection Unit in Mafang Highway Toll Fee Collection & Management Group under Badaling Highway Management Company, a subsidiary of Beijing Capital Highway Development Corporation, who has made tremendous contributions to the development of transportation cause in the capital city; Li Xia, Party Chief and Head of Hongcheng Garden Community in Shunyi's Wangquan Sub-district, who has served the public wholeheartedly; and Zhou Qianyi, Deputy Secretary-General of All-China Women's Federation Hong Kong Delegates Association Limited, who has been closely involved in the promotion of exchanges between and integrated development of women's organizations in Hong Kong and the mainland.

 

During the event, the delegates spoke about their career development and responded to journalists' questions that were related to ecological governance with joint contributions in the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the utilization of women's unique roles in the building of an international sci-tech innovation hub, the promotion of family participation in grassroots social governance, and the protection of children and teenagers' lawful rights and interests in the internet sector.
