Chaoyang District Women's Federation Inspects Work in Datun Sub-District

During their visit to Anhuidongli Residential Community, Lu and other members of the inspection team listened to a report on the community's efforts and achievements on the incorporation of community-level work on women and children into the Party-building work of community grids, and the practice of encouraging grid workers to engage in the work of members of the executive committee of the sub-district's women's federation and the members to engage in the work of grids.
Additionally, they learned about the residential community's work on strengthening the leadership of the Party over the work on women's federations, the integration of grid systems with the organizational building of women's federations, the training of executive members of women's federations and grid workers, and the interaction between the Party-building affairs and the work on women's federations through the grid systems.
Later, Lu and the inspection team came to Fucheng Garden Residential Community, where they inspected the building and operation of public spaces, children-oriented councils and other public initiatives. They heard a report on the work of Datun sub-district over the building of a child-friendly pilot residential community.
Workers at Datun Sub-district Office introduced that the sub-district's women's federation will deepen the cooperation with China Women's University (CWU), further promote the practice of enhancing the integration of the work of community-based grid workers, women's representatives and executive members of the women's federation, expand the depth and width of children's participation in community governance, and enrich the content of building child-friendly residential communities.
For her part, Lu said that the sub-district's women's federation should attach great importance to the work on family ties, values and traditions, explore and leverage exemplary cases of role model families, make the stories of model families widely known, strengthen the building of families and unite and lead women to advance positive family values and social trends. Secondly, the federation should proactively establish the mechanism of enhancing the work of community-based grid workers and executive members of women's federations, make full use of the federations' strengths, resources and forces in the work of grids, and endeavor to become an exemplary experience of Chaoyang. Thirdly, the federation should continue with its efforts to further promote children's participation in community governance, get more families involved in community governance through the building of children-oriented councils, strengthen the collaboration with the CWU, invite political advisers to closely follow the development of children-oriented councils, and rally them together for the building of a child-friendly city as well as residential communities.
