The guiding principles of the 15th Beijing Municipal Women's Congress (BMWC) have received warm feedback from delegates from Xicheng District.

Shan Yanming, a teacher with the School of Architecture and Urban Planning at Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, said that she became fully inspired after listening to the congress' report and grasped a deep understanding of the importance of the work done by women's federations to the further improvement of the wellbeing of women and children. She added she will integrate her normal work with the fulfillment of duties by women's federations and display women's strength in family, school and societal sectors.

Gao Jie, a chemistry teacher and director of the Department for Students' Development in Beijing No.4 High School, said that the congress' report stressed the work on family ties, education and values and asked for efforts to leverage the important roles played by women in both social and family life and advance the popularity of revolutionary traditions and clean family values. As a teacher and a mother of two children, she said that she has always adhered to the principle of life learning, pushed for talent cultivation with the joint efforts of schools, families and society, studied the rules of children and teenagers' growth, and formulated a number of parent-child courses in terms of conceptual and action guidance and emotional support with anticipatory results. Gao added that she will work closely with more education workers to conduct research on and practice family education to deliver more benefits to numerous families and help relevant children to grow up healthily in both physical and mental aspects.

Zhao Ying, Member of the Leading Party Members' Group of Xicheng District People's Court, said that the congress has charted the direction for women's cause in the capital city and provided the court with great inspiration as well as reference in the protection of women's lawful rights and interests. She noted that the court should pay more attention to the principles of justice, fairness and people friendliness in the hearing of lawsuits related to women and children, intensify the publicity and popularization of relevant laws and rules to further raise women's legal awareness and self-protection capabilities, and pool the strength of other government departments toward the building and further improvement of systems and mechanisms concerning the protection of women's rights and interests as well as the sharing of information and resources. Zhao emphasized that she will adhere to the guiding principles of the congress, devote herself to the protection of women's rights and interests, and contribute her efforts to the realization of social justice and fairness.

Peng Cong, a procurator with Xicheng District People's Procuratorate, said that the congress is a grand conference held by the capital city to pool the strength of women toward the realization of Chinese modernization. She introduced that the procuratorate has built a warning and education base of financial crimes, established a working station on the protection of corporate development in Jinke New Area, given priority to the protection of lawful rights and interests of women, children and other disadvantaged population, and provided judicial assistance to needy individuals, adding that she will bear in mind the guiding principles of the congress, hone professional competence and skills, and make unique contributions to social security and the rule of law in the district.

Guo Chunlei, Party Secretary of Xicheng Guangwai Hospital, said that the past five years have witnessed robust development of women's cause and the rising importance of women in all social sectors in the capital city. She went on to say that she will bring back the guiding principles and requirements of the congress to her workplace, devote herself to women's cause, fully leverage the roles of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine as well as medical workers in the whole-life-cycle supervision of women's health, drive the inheritance and innovative development of traditional Chinese medicine, and work for the high-quality development of the capital city.

Zeng Xuelian, Director of Xicheng District Reading Promotion Center, said that the congress has helped her grasp a deep understanding of glorious achievements made by the capital city in women's cause and that women from all social sectors have played important roles in political participation, economic development, cultural and educational affairs, and social services, and made large strides in the protection of their lawful rights and interests and the improvement of their social status. In the years ahead, she will cultivate self-esteem, self-confidence, self-reliance and self-improvement, proactively take part in the governance of national and social affairs, strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, and rally other women together for their common cause as well as the achievement of national rejuvenation.

Deng Hao, General-Manager of Beijing Putian Desheng Technology Incubation Co., Ltd, said that it is a great honor for her to attend the congress as a delegate from the sci-tech frontline. Noting that sci-tech innovation is a key driving force of national development, she stressed that she will firmly stick to her post, enhance professional competence, focus on the cultivation of new quality productive forces, further explore personal potential, work hard on the commercialization of research results and the cultivation of emerging industries, and make greater contributions to the further enhancement of the country's strength in science and technology as well as the realization of the capital city's modernization.

Gu Ling, President of Beijing Yuanzhihe Bio-Technology Co., Ltd, is a retired soldier. Noting that the congress has fully reviewed glorious achievements made by women from all social sectors in the capital city over the past five years, she said that she will remain loyal to the Party, continuously leverage the exemplary roles of women, and forge ahead with other veterans toward their business development.

Zhang Yu, Deputy Party Secretary and President of the Trade Union of Beijing Huatian Catering Holding Group, said that she has personally witnessed important roles played by women in the building of Beijing into national political and cultural center as well as the centers for international exchanges and sci-tech innovation. Inspired by the guiding principles of the congress, she said that she will firmly support women's cause, uphold gender equality, assist other women in their career development, unite and lead more women to promote the prosperity as well as development of the capital city.

Zhang Yanqiu, Vice-President of Women's Federation of Guangwai Sub-District, said that the guiding principles of the congress has helped her gain a deep understanding of the political nature of the work on women and the importance of the work on public affairs. She added that she will fulfill her duties, promote the publicity and implementation of the guiding principles of the congress, translate the blue print drawn by the work report into reality reachable by the public, unite and lead local women to take part in organizational building at the grassroots level, the protection of women and children's lawful rights and interests, the work on family ties, values and traditions, and women-oriented volunteer services, and write a bright picture toward the work on women's federations in the sub-district.

Fan Lili, Party Secretary of Liuyin Residential Community in Shichahai Sub-district, said that as a grassroots delegate to the congress, she will fulfill her obligations, give full play to women's unique roles in the governance of family and social affairs, and take concrete actions to promote the high-quality development of her community.
