Tan stated in her speech that the event is a vivid practice of passing on good family traditions. It allowed everyone to experience the unique charm and common values of Chinese family traditions under different regions and customs. She expressed hope that this event would serve as an opportunity for the whole society to promote civilized family values, and she looked forward to the continuous cultivation of friendship and progress among women's organizations in the regions.
In her speech, Ho stated that the theme of the event is to enlighten children to learn traditional Chinese virtues and draw on the essence of excellent family rules and teachings, cultivating children's awareness of "learning, understanding and practicing courtesy." She added this will have a "profound impact on the lifelong journey of children."
Hung expressed in her speech that the children's artworks showcased rich creativity and imagination, demonstrating excellent artistic skills. She said they boldly portrayed a harmonious world as seen through the eyes of children, showcasing family traditions with Chinese characteristics and traditional virtues of diligence, kindness, caring, gratitude and integrity.
Lau stated in her speech that the women's federations in Beijing, Hong Kong, and Macao, along with women's organizations, once again joined hands to inherit the outstanding traditional Chinese culture and depict the landscape of Chinese culture. The children used their brushes to paint beautiful stories of happy families, expressing their yearning and vision for a harmonious China.
Zhang mentioned in his speech that the event cleverly combines the theme of inheriting traditional Chinese virtues and good family traditions with aesthetic education.
Since the event started in May, a total of 5,037 submissions were received. Eventually, 456 children from Beijing, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents in Beijing stood out, earning titles like "Future Star," "Future Wing," and "Future Light." Representatives of Macao students participating in a project (established by the Beijing Women's Association for Hong Kong, Macao & Taiwan Compatriots and Overseas Chinese) performed an original song.
After the results of the event were announced, the painting exhibition (Beijing) was opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and it will subsequently tour in Hong Kong and Macao.
