BWF Holds Parent-Child Interaction Activity Among Most Beautiful Families

Appreciate Chinese Food Culture
Under the guidance of dietary teachers, visitors came to a center on dietary education, where they grasped a deep understanding of the definition of dietary education and common food categories.
Teenage attendees learned about nutritional value of different parts of cattle and milk processing, to understand the difficulties farmers face to produce or process food.
After listening to stories that sweet oranges grown in southern China would turn sour once grown in the north, attending kids understood more about the importance of environment and climate and they had a try in rice seedling cultivation.
In the Houze Kitchen, participants learned nutrition needed by mankind and studied nutrition-balanced diet systems. They found their favorite ingredients in accordance with newly-acquired nutrition knowledge in a smart supermarket. Later, they made tasty and nutritional meal in a thematic class.
The body fat scales and treadmills in a health testing and experience center deeply impressed attendees and helped them learn about personal health and formulate precise diet plans.
The educational tour provided attendees with a valuable opportunity to learn about food production and processing, healthy diet, traditional Chinese food culture and future food, and explore food's relationship with nature, cooking, health and ecology.
Make Flower-Shaped Steamed Buns
After the visit, attending families reached a restaurant to learn traditional Chinese noodle culture and the making of huamo (flower-shaped steamed buns), a listed intangible cultural heritage. Parents and their children were guided to give full play to their creativity and imagination in the design and production of huamo with various ingredients.
Many kids said it was such an amazing experience for them to prepare their own healthy food and learn about treasuring food. The special tour was not only a dietary education for children to learn more about healthy diet habits but also a parent-child interaction activity for role-model families, to further improve parent-child companionship and to encourage families to be involved in the building of harmonious households.
