Eastern and Western Education & Culture Exchange Held by Beijing Women’s Federation
Date:2013-10-15 16:51:25 Views:On October 15, 2013, the Eastern and Western Educational and Cultural Exchange & Reading and Sharing of The Fifth Discipline written by Peter Senge were held by Beijing Women’s International Exchange Center and Soul Home of China Women’s Development Foundation with the guidance of Beijing Women’s Federation in Beijing Agrilandia Italian Farm.
Professor Peter Senge, a world famous master of management and educationalist and also the author of The Fifth Discipline series, was invited to be the guest speaker. Zhou Zhijun, Vice Chairwoman of Beijing Women’s Federation, Zhang Chenglin, translator of The Fifth Discipline series of Chinese version, and Mette Husemoen, doctor of technological management in Norwegian University of Science and Technology and postdoctor studying from Peter Senge, participated in the exchange.
The activity included four parts: icebreaking dialogue, keynote speech, free discussion and book sharing. Professor Peter and other guests shared their reading experience of new knowledge, which not only broadened the horizon of participants, but helped them understand the differences and integration of eastern and western culture more intuitively. The participants actively discussed on the later seminar and presented their views around the development of family reading habit, learning organization construction, international culture exchange and integration and other issues.
Approximately one hundred of guests from Tsinghua University, North China University of Technology, New Oriental, Beijing Hoing Education Group and many other education institutions in Beijing also attended the activity.
