Beijing Women’s Federation received friendly an 8-member delegation of Cambodian Women for Peace and Development with Ms. Mi song’an, Cambodian senator and Vice Chairwoman of Cambodian Women for Peace and Development, as the head in Huairou District on November 19.

Zhou Zhijun, Vice Chairwoman of Beijing Women’s Federation, accompanied the delegation on the visit of city-level Women Artists Studio like Gaolianghe Colored Drawing Factory in Miaocheng Town of Huairou District and Tengshi Tianxin Cloth Paste Painting, and the national women’s modern agricultural science and technology demonstration base — Beijing Specialized Cooperative of Senhai Edible Fungi Plantation. During the visit, Zhou Zhijun introduced the basic situation of women and children work in Beijing and emphasized the effort Beijing Women’s Federation had made in promoting the development of women handicraft industry and driving women’s employment at home, increasing their income, and inheriting Chinese traditional folk art and culture through integrating resources and broadening brand influence.

Ms. Mi song’an introduced Cambodia’s emphasis on women’s political participation and the important role Cambodian women play in national governance and economic construction. At last, she stressed that this year was the 55^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cambodia and hoped the two countries could strengthen cooperation in various fields to achieve mutual development and that the friendship between the two countries could last forever.
