Reception of Representative of UN Women Resident Office in China from Beijing Women’s Federation

Zhou Zhijun, Vice Chairwoman of Beijing Women’s Federation, accompanied the delegation in the whole course on behalf of the Federation, during which Zhou Zhijun introduced the overall work of Beijing Women’s Federation, and had communication and discussions on gender equality, protection of women rights and interests and other topics.
UN Women (full name: United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women) is an entity of United Nations General Assembly with the aim of promoting gender equality and enhancing women empowerment. Its resident office in China has built good cooperative partnerships with all other resident offices of UN in China, other international organizations, Chinese government and relevant social organizations, and provided fund and technology supports for men’s participation in gender equality, women’s economic empowerment, female leadership and participation in political affairs and other programs, such as China Gender Fund (CGF) Project.
