To learn more about and carry through the important spirits of speeches made by General Secretary Xi Jinping during collective talks with the new leading team of the All-China Women's Federation, implement the deployment of the 11^th Chinese Women Congress, protect the women’s legal rights and interests more effectively, and handle concrete affairs in a down-to-earth manner for women, a Women’s Legal Rights and Interests Protection Meeting was held by the Women’s Federation of Haidian District on January 17, 2014, which specially discussed women’s legal rights and interests protection as well as concrete affairs handling work in 2014. Member units of Haidian District Coordination Group for Women’s Legal Rights and Interests Protection, such as public security subbureau, court, justice bureau, procuratorate of Haidian District, as well as headers from ten law offices in Haidian District attended the meeting.

In the meeting, as the leading unit of Haidian District Coordination Group for Women’s Legal Rights and Interests Protection, the Women’s Federation of Haidian District summarized and analyzed the work related to women’s legal rights and interests protection of the whole district in 2013, and put forward the ways and tasks of work in 2014. All participants promised to spare no effort to support and coordinate the protection of women rights and interests based on the professional rights protection mechanism, and proposed constructive suggestions and comments on more effective anti-domestic violence work. In 2014, with the assistance and support of member units of Haidian District Coordination Group for Women’s Legal Rights and Interests Protection as well as law offices in Haidian District, the Women’s Federation of Haidian District will further play the role in overall arrangement, coordination and liaison so as to integrate, optimize and increase the strength of lawful women and children rights and interests protection in the whole district more effectively, and at the same time increase the actual effects and influences of rights and interests protection work in aspects of strengthening publicity of gender equality and other basic state policies, innovating and perfecting the protection mechanism of rights and interests, providing actual rights and interests protection services, and maintaining social harmony and stability.
