        As the 2014 International Women's Day is approaching, Beijing Women's Federation, Beijing Shi Zong Gong Hui and Beijing Municipal Human Resource and Social Security Bureau cited 300 excellent Women Originations and 598 remarkable women in Beijing to further promote the outstanding deeds of women and guide and inspire women with the force of example. The report will present four model organizations and seven exceptional women among the awarded.
        Honor means encourage and also greater expectancy. Standing at a new point, the distinguished organizations and individuals will more cherish honor and continue to exert themselves to make greater contributions to the development of Beijing science as well as social harmony and innovation. The Beijing women will follow the example of the commended women organizations and individuals, positively respond to the advocacy of “distinguish women themselves as a contributor to Chinese dream”, fulfill the socialist core values and participate in the cause of comprehensively deepening reforms, thus promoting the building of a moderately prosperous society and realizing Chinese dream--great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation by playing an unique role in the economic and social development of Beijing.
 

Guo Qian developed UAV from nothing

        Guo Qian now acts as the division head of the Project Development Department of System Engineering Institute of No.9 Research Institute of CASC. Since 2003, she has been in charge of the management and market development of the UAV system of the Department. Over the 10 years, she, along with her team has witnessed the evolvement of an original four-person team into a professional institute with nearly 300 experts, accompanied by growth of market share and sales revenue over RMB 400 million annually. Following successful survival among intense market competition, the team has become a new thriving star in this field of China, developing the UAV industry of the No.9 Research Institute from nothing.
        The UAV system features complex mechanism, which involves pneumatics, structure, dynamics, electricity, control, communication, optics and other disciplines and professions. In the early stage of the business, Guo Qian and her team faced difficulties of insufficient personnel, weak technological base, limited support resources and cross-sector competition. To a third person, this team was unable to overcome these obstacles. However, she developed an awareness of the profound importance of system-level project for the institute’s future development and perceived the leader’s expectations of the team, believing that UAV system will be another platform of demonstrating the strength of China’s integrated aerospace technology besides manned space flight and deep diving of submarine. In the meantime, she thought the system will serve as powerful support in fulfilling aerospace power and Chinese dream.
        Despite difficulties, Guo Qian and her team hit their stride with R&D and project management for nearly ten years. Over the decade, they seldom spent a whole day enjoying holidays. Instead, they kept working on Saturday, and even the whole night in case of urgent project. In 2013, Guo Qian and her team traveled enormous distance to Xinjiang, and successfully completed system test under harsh environment. Though three-day negotiations, the team won user’s recognition and respect, and stood out from more than 20 competitors in China, and finally signed an UAV contract whose price was ranked top in domestic civilian areas.
        Guo Qian always upholds a belief: work responsibility takes priority over everything, including individual, family or life. 
 

Wang Ke, a tomboy among the male

        Graduated from Beijing Jiaotong University in 2006, Wang Ke now acts as director of Yizhuang Line Crew Center of No.1 Branch of Beijing Subway. After joining the Company, she rose from section member, deputy director of the Center and branch secretary. Since April, 2012, she has been holding the position of director of the Center. Wang Ke who is assiduous and bold has fulfilled great achievements concerning several operational indicators, and positively explored the methods of enhancing technical capability of her team as well as grassroots management level.
        In 2010, Wang Ke was a section member of No.1 Branch of Beijing Subway. To open Yizhuang Line, the Company held an election for deputy of middle management. She applied for the deputy of Yizhuang Line Crew Center. This beautiful woman amazed her colleagues, because the position she wanted was mainly associated with male drivers. Finally, with solid professional skill and theoretical knowledge, she got the job as the most excellent candidate, becoming a tomboy among the male.
        Over the eight years, Wang Ke is conscientious in routine work and dedicates her youth to subway. Her life resembles snow lotus, persistent but beautiful, quite but warm. And she always can be seen in harsh weather conditions, such as rainy, windy or snowy. 
        As a director of Yizhuang Line Crew Center, Wang Ke constantly upgrades grassroots management level. With the management mode of point control, cycle training, dimensional assessment, as well as love, respect and harmony, the Center has been awarded “second prize of 2012 Beijing Youth Civilization Service Innovation by Beijing City” and honor of “2012 Remarkable Organization with High Operational Index Points”. Wang Ke has also won the honor of 2010 Model of “Service, Devotion and Achievement in ‘Six-type Subway’” and 2012 “Demonstration Position of Model Party Member” of No.1 Branch.
 

Luo Yanhong, head of Beijing CityTV

        Following 23-year journalism career in Beijing Television, Luo Yanhong transformed herself into a successful manager of a new media enterprise from an excellent news reporter. She has made substantial contributions to the development of Beijing Television and Beijing BAMC City TV Co., Ltd.
        She interviewed and wrote a number of social news and special topics during the period in which she served as a news reporter of Good Morning Beijng in Beijing Television. And she has won “China News Award” twice and “China Radio-TV News Award”, “Beijing News Award”, “Beijing TV News Award”, etc. When Luo Yanhong was first awarded the China News Award, she was just a trainee journalist of Beijing TV. As a chief editor of Good Morning Beijng, she, together with her colleagues witnessed the rise of ratings from below 1% to over 3%, ranking top five in the ratings of Beijing TV by virtue of upgrading the column.
        In August, 2007, Luo Yanhong joined Beijing BAMC City TV Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as City TV), where she rose from a director of small screen division, deputy general manager and general manager. Over the six years, she and her team has successfully built network platform of outdoor screens for City TV and introduced the concept of upgrading City TV into a platform of publishing city emergency and public emergency information.
        The big screen network of Beijing City TV is the first urban big screen TV network controlled by one broadcast platform equipped with special Gehua CATV network. It has been awarded the “2010 Technology Innovation Award” by former State Administration of Radio and Television. It is Luo Yanhong who is the leader of the project. Over the five years, she has worked out strategies of developing City TV big screen services. Today, City TV has set eight big screens including two on Beijng Zhonghui Square and National Stadium. Besides, the Company has expanded the social influence of outdoor big screen network. As media platform improves, the daily effective impressions have reached more than 20 million. Parallel with this is the thriving market and growing revenues of the Company.
 

Dong Xuegong delivers aerospace vegetables to the public

        Dong Xuegong is the party branch secretary and director of village committee of Tujing Village, Xibeiwang Town, Haidian District, Beijing City. She was born in country and grew up there. Though she has neither profound cultural knowledge nor touching grandiloquence, she has a fiery heart to serve the villagers and selfless work ethos.
        By taking the principle of handling concrete affairs and doing good deeds for the villagers as the starting point and objective of her work, she vigorously advance the development of collective economy in Tujing Village, and establishes the economic development idea of “promoting facility agriculture and leading the villagers to acquire wealth”. The economy of the village has been greatly boomed and the net income per capita has exceeded RMB 10,000. Tujing Village, therefore, won the honor of “village party branch of five excellences” in Haidian District for seven consecutive years, and she was also selected as the NPC member for two consecutive years. 
        Among numerous affairs, she put how to lead the villagers to become rich as the top priority. Tujing Village closely neighbors the core zone and Astronautics Industrial Centre and has precious land resources, Dong Xuegong, therefore, established the economic development idea of “promoting facility agriculture and leading the villagers to acquire wealth”. On the basis of developing facility agriculture, she utilized the solar greenhouse to plant aerospace vegetables and flowers with the cooperation of China Academy of Space Technology. After strict cultivation and management, the pepper, eggplant, tomato and lily planted by Tujing Village yielded significant benefits. To promote the sales the space crops, Dong Xuegong registered an official microblog for Tujing Village, on which she implemented the activity of “learning sunlight greenhouse and feeling the pastoral appeal”, introduced the variety of space vegetables, organized space vegetables and flowers group purchase activity, and invited the citizens to come to the greenhouse for sightseeing and pick up the vegetables and flowers by themselves. Through vigorous organizational planning and publicity, the space vegetables and flowers planted by Tujing Village were widely recognized by consumers, bringing along huge economic benefits for the village.
        In the second half of 2010, Tujing Village caught up with the opportunity of relocation and reconstruction. Under the leadership of Dong Xuegong, no event affecting the social stability occurred during the relocation. After the villagers moved back, she was busy in solving the villagers' employment to help the villagers enjoy the benefits of relocation and reconstruction.
        “Let the villagers live in new buildings, drink sweet tap water and stroll on the wide cement concrete pavement,” is just the wish of Dong Xuegong.
 

Zhou Ye – Achieving Beautiful Life in Special Education 

        As the principal of special education school in Dongcheng District of Beijing City, Zhou Ye has been working on special education for more than 20 years since setting foot in the First Deaf School of Beijing in 1983.
        Having been engaged in special education for long term, she put forward the theory of “dispersing barrier with love, recovering through education and accord development” and the mission of “for the foundation of handicapped students’ lifetime growth and life”, and established a “cross-shaped” school-running pattern that takes nine-year compulsory education as the center, and develops pre-school and vocational education in longitudinal and guidance on learning in regular class and community-based rehabilitation in horizontal. In addition, she actively explored the way of cooperating with vocational high schools, and led all stuff to work together, therefore effectuating the school’s leapfrog development, which was not only appreciated by leaders at all levels and the parents of students, and highly prized by the society.
        Zhou Ye is an innovative and entrepreneurial principal. Facing hundreds of mentality or hearing disabled students, she insisted in the educational idea of “there is no barrier if you have love” and “educate with love. She solidified human hearts with love, built the team of teaching staff with love and educated the students with love. Every reception, Zhou Ye would tell the love stories of teachers. To furnish the disabled children with better education, she treated each child specially and individually. To accurately learn the children’s physiological characteristics, personality characteristics and knowledge reserve, the special education school in Dongcheng District will evaluate each new student, which involves more than 600 items. In the school, teachers have different requirements and guidance for each child, even the color of the same picture in the very same fine arts lesson.
        What’s more, Zhou Ye utilized her specialty and undertook the one-hour sign language broadcasting task of Focus On hosted by CCTV each day together with other five members. Qi Yuping – Uncommon Accomplishment at Ordinary Post

        Qi Yuping is an excrement-pumping driver in rubbish and excrement cleaning and hauling center of Beijing Environmental Sanitation Group Co., Ltd. As a 37-year-old driver, she is only female driver who drives large motor vehicle for several years. Many of her male fellows are not willing to drive such vehicle, but she never requested for changing vehicle model in any reason. She, therefore, was rated as outstanding communist party member, civilized worker, etc. by the Group for several times, and recognized by the leaders and other employees.
        Qi Yuping undertakes the cleaning and hauling task of Dongcheng District. When there is larger amount of rubbish, she often volunteers to fulfill other tasks after completing her work. Last summer, after the cleaning and hauling center receive an emergency task of dumping the landfill leachate in Beishenshu landfill to Gaobeidian for handling. Qi Yuping volunteered to fulfill the task even though she was pressed for time and she had to drive a large vehicle in bad condition and without air conditioner. She drove for more than 200 km every day, overcame various difficulties and fully exerted the leading role of a communist party member. 
        So does her in daily work. Through improving driving skill consciously, she now has grown up into an excellent driver who is proficient in driving both large and small Hualin garbage compression trucks, single-arm crane, suction-type sewer scavenger, watering truck Dima snow-melting car and other vehicles for environmental sanitation work. By now, she has driven for nearly 700,000 km without one violation and accident.
        Bitter cold adds keen fragrance to plum blossom. Though she has no profound education background, she often uses spare time to learn the theoretical knowledge and enrich herself continuously. She would immediately run to the library to look for information when encountering problems that she cannot figure out. No pains, no gains. She now has acquired the driver license and set up high prestige among workers. Continuous learning and accumulation also helps her become an expert in technology. She has solved many puzzling questions for the company, saving a mass of labor and material resources. 
 

Zhang Wenning – Pioneer of Zhongguancun Multi-media Creative Industry

        Zhang Wenning, incumbent director of Zhongguancun Multi-media Creative Industry Park and Boya Overseas Talents Innovation Park in Zhongguancun Demonstration Zone, is a person who deals with figures and has in-depth study on the integrative development of high-end cultural creative industry chain with digital content as the core and the production, spread, exhibition and traction of cross-media cultural products as the cardinal line. 
        Zhongguancun Multi-media Creative Industry Park is currently a special science and technology park of Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone and the first cross-media park that takes multi-media creative industry as the core development direction.         At present, the Park has taken shape into a cross-media industry cluster covering cartoon game, cartoon game, e-payment, software development, Internet of Things, system integration, advertising exhibition and other fields and integrating innovation of technology, product innovation, service and application together, and shows a clustering and scale development trend based on Industrial cluster, which has significant industry aggregation and radiation driving ability. Additionally, the Park attracted the construction unit of all-media “digitized children anime story library” of “Trumpet” brand, and set up the research and development group of the first cross-media social platform of digital reading – “micro-cartoon and micro-reading” and other digital production units of international level ahead of Facebook and Twitter.
        In 2011, Zhang Wenning and her team set up a high-level talents introduction and service platform, attracting a batch of high-level innovative talents who have been selected into the “Talents Plan” to convert top cross-media innovative achievements. Nearly 60 listed companies (new three board), Dengling enterprises (new and high-tech enterprise that has good potential for growth and development by leaps and bounds) and faster growth rate were established in 2013, which forms a basic industrial pattern with strong innovativeness, fast growth rate and good development prospect.

In 2013, the hospital had over 1.2 million person-time of outpatient and emergency visits, over 30 thousand person-time of discharges from hospital and more than 14 thousand babies born in the hospital.         The National Ballet of China, the only one state-level ballet group in China, has gained outstanding achievements in artistic innovation field, created the brand of “Approach Ballet” and cultivated a batch of excellent talents that won international awards in recent years. Besides, it brought Chinese ballet to the ballet cradlelands, like Britain, France and Italy, where it gained high praise from the mainstream society and media, and was nominated as one of the world's best dance troupes. The Performance Troupe of National Ballet of China, especially the most beautiful scenery line - the “Detachment of Women”, has contributed much to all the honors undoubtedly. Zhu Yan, Zhang Jian and Wang Qimin from the National Ballet of China are the world's top ballet dancers. Cao Shuci, a young dancer, not only won many international ballet competition prizes, but also gained the honor of “National Art Morality Pacesetter” in 2013.
        The united, collaborative, post-passionate and dedicated Performance Troupe of National Ballet of China has special cohesive force and fighting power, and features rejuvenation and specialization with average age of less than 30 and constitution of professional ballet performers or dancers. In addition to plenty of performances, performers have to practice basic skills, resulting in overloaded work without sufficient rest. However, they attach great values to the troupe development and China ballet, and closely combine individual fate with national development with the spirit of bearing hardships and devoting youth to art, which reflects women’s charm, spirit of the time, noble professional ethics and good mental outlook. The troupe has gain honors like “Youth Civilization” awarded by Ministry of Culture and “National Pioneer Worker”. 
 

Angel Mom Team
Open up the Green Channel of Saving Children with Serious Diseases 

        The Angel Mom Team is composed of caring and well-educated moms of various strong points, including initial members from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Xi’an, Zhengzhou, and so on, and volunteers all over the world, like United States, Britain, Singapore, France, etc. The team now provides medical assistances for 0-18 years old of orphaned and disabled children as well as those children from poor families through network propaganda and money collecting, and meanwhile extensively cooperates with various national medical institutions, media, foundations, volunteers, etc., so as to raise medical funds, arrange operations and provide rehabilitation assistances for the children. 
        On December 26, 2013, the Angel Mom Team that has been working on saving children of serious diseases for many years initiated the establishment of Beijing Angel Mom Charity Foundation to conduct public benefit activities, like medical assistances, rehabilitation care and information consultations for special groups, with the objectives of gathering love and protecting the life, health, subsistence and development rights of vulnerable groups. The team gained China Charity Award respectively in 2008 and 2012.
        Till now, the Angel Mom Team has saved over 3,700 children suffering serious diseases, raised more than RMB fifty million and collected more than 110,000 batches of donations from 28 countries and regions. The 24-hour of emergency assistance hotline for national children suffering serious diseases, 40006-21885, (Help Me, Aunt), of the Angel Mom Team has also provided medical resource supports and assistance guides for countless children. 
        Collect benefits from the public and transmit love to the society. That “every child gets the love from mom” is their biggest wish.
 

Women's Group of Undercover Investigation Corps in Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau
Proudly Blooming Steel Rose 

        The Undercover Investigation Corps of Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau was founded formally on December 4, 2011 with the main responsibility of fighting against property robbing in the streets. Then the Women’s Group of Undercover Investigation Corps was set up on March 8, 2013. In the past year, they participated in more than 40 arresting tasks with over 50 persons totally arrested and approximately RMB 40,000 retrieved. The policewomen arrested 30 persons through main control, 28 persons through auxiliary control, 50 car-robbing suspects and 8 other types of suspects. 
        Most of the Women’s Group members are recent graduates from police schools. To improve their thought qualities, leaders manage the Group strictly, insist on education-first and focus on internal work construction. The Group was provided with paramilitary management and training at the beginning. On the training ground, policewomen managed themselves strictly, overcame women's physical and mental difficulties, completed high-strength training tasks in the high standard and high quality manners, and became female undercover investigators, not gentle and graceful girls any more. 
        The main task of Women’s Group is to cooperate with policemen on detection, during which policewomen has played gender advantage fully and fought against illegal and criminal behaviors determinedly as the same as the policemen through well-practiced excellent skills and virtues without any fear of hardships or injury and even sacrifice. They have played an important role in the rob-fighting work by giving full play to women’s tenacious and exquisite characteristics as well as unique hidden advantages, changing roles according to environmental features, confusing suspects and controlling evidences of crime. The steel rose, Women’s Group, is blooming proudly and fragrantly with sweats and efforts.
